On September 4, 2021 during Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo (August 30-September 4) was announced the 8 winners of the 7th TOKYO FASHION AWARD. This award given to 8 designers from Tokyo, aims to support them on the world stage and in particular to organize their presence at the 2022 Paris Men's and Women's Fashion Weeks.
The 4 winning designers who will participate to the Paris Men's Fashion Weeks (January & June) 2022 are:
- Rikuya Hayashi (SUGARHILL) - Dairiku Okamoto (DAIRIKU)
- Hiroaki Sueyasu (KIDILL) - Norio Terada (YOKE)
The 4 winning designers who will participate to the Paris Women's Fashion Weeks (February & September) 2022 are:
- Eriko Ishida / Aki Shimizu (MALION vintage) - Ryota Murakami (PILLINGS)
- Harunobu Murata (HARUNOBUMURATA) - Mari Odaka (MALAMUTE).
On these 4 occasions their sales campaigns will take place in the showroom.tokyo, which will be opened in Paris for this purpose. In addition, during the March 2022 session, Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo will dedicate a special event to these 8 winning designers.
TOKYO FASHION AWARD & LONDON FASHION WEEK
The 6 winning brands of the previous 6th Tokyo Fashion Award are supported in order to participate to the London Fashion Week of September 2021
