Gabriele Larcher wins Milano Moda Graduate

Promoting young fashion talents is the aim of Italian Chamber of Fashion, which for the seventh year hosted its Milano Moda Graduate event during Milan Women’s Fashion Week.

Created in 2015 to give visibility and recognition to the next generation of designers at an international and national level via mentoring initiatives, the show featured collections from creative designers from Italian fashion schools such as Ied, Naba, Marangoni. Gabriele Larcher of Milan’s Accademia Costume & Moda has been awarded the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana Fashion Award for best collection with a monetary prize.

To judge the works of designers are Capasa, president of Cnmi-Camera nazionale della moda italiana; Fendi chief executive officer Serge Brunschwig; Rinascente’s head of fashion Federica Montelli, Jacopo Etro, Elia Maramotti, Max & Co. brand director; fashion critic Suzy Menkes, and Sara Sozzani Maino, the Cnmi international brand ambassador and head of the Vogue Talents platform.

In addition, the Ykk Prize went to Iuav’s Anna Dionisi and Leonardo Rossetto, who will receive a monetary prize, as well as a yearlong supply of zippers. Finally, Emilia Torcini of Istituto Modartech was awarded by Vogue Talents with its special prize.
