The World Expo Dubai 2020 has opened to the public on October 1st 2021 and will be running until March 31st 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for the first time in the Middle East. Delayed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Expo displays works and pavilions from more than 190 countries that showcase their cultures and innovations under the theme “Connecting minds, creating future”. The 150-meter diameter Al Wasl Plaza, the historical name for Dubai that also means “connection” in Arabic, represents the core of the exhibition.
The plaza connects the three thematic districts – Opportunity, Sustainability, and Mobility – in which there are the pavilions. Each one is associated with a color, respectively: green, orange, and blue.
