The upcoming edition of the leading men's wear fair Pitti Uomo 101 will run from January 11 to 13, 2022, in conjunction with the Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati fairs, dedicated to children’s wear and yarn makers, respectively.

"We are ready to give our contribution to the recovery of Italian fashion and international trade," explains Raffaello Napoleone, ceo of Pitti Immagine. "We also attribute a symbolic value to this edition 101. The companies are responding with enthusiasm, they are not hiding their difficulties but at the same time expressing great energy, a firm desire to return to represent themselves with their best qualities.”

Pitti Reflections is the new theme of the Pitti Immagine fairs: the leitmotif of the displays in the Fortezza and Leopolda, designed by creative director Angelo Figus, and the creative impetus for the advertising campaign shot by the duo Narènte in a high-impact photographic set.

The editorial theme is always an important topic for Pitti editions, to which we devote great attention," said Agostino Poletto, director-general of Pitti Immagine. "Pitti Reflections means reflections, but also reflections, interior, and exterior, windows that open, glimpses that lead inside and make you look far away, references that go beyond what is expected to represent a new beginning."

The show, which will see the presence of 600 exhibitors, will be organized across three main areas called Dynamic Attitude, Superstyling, and Fantastic Classic. This last area, which will show the evolution of the classic wardrobe, will also include labels in the Futuro Maschile section, positioned on the attic floor and focusing on advanced contemporary men's wear. The Superstyling section will include a special area called Sustainable Style, which will feature a new selection of green brands using eco-responsibility criteria. Dynamic Attitude will explore brands that blend contemporary garments at the intersection of sport and streetwear.

All the brands participating in Pitti Uomo 101 at the Fortezza da Basso are also present on the digital platform Pitti Connect. Among the brand participating in the fair only on Pitti Connect are: Andrea Ventura Firenze, Ben Sherman, Bikkembergs, Closed, Colmar Originals, FPM Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano.

Many will be initiatives organized by brands both at the Fortezza da Basso fairgrounds and the city of Florence. Among them, the Maison Caruso will host a jazz night to unveil its fall 2022 collection on January 11; while Kiton will present for the first time in Florence its label KNT through a special installation at the Fortezza da Basso.
