The 2022 International Woolmark Prize released a short film to showcase the seven finalists 2022: Ahluwalia and Saul Nash (U.K.), Egonlab (France), Jordan Dalah (Australia), Mmusomaxwell (South Africa), Peter Do (U.S.), and Rui (China).

The film, called “Playscape,” is directed by FKA Twigs with creative directed by Zak Group and is inspired by sculptor Isamu Noguchi's vision of play as a creative catalyst. Choreographed by classically trained dancer Juliano Nunes, the film merges influence from fashion, art, dance and music and encompasses an immersive showroom and special partnership with The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum.

The winner of the 2022 International Woolmark Prize will be announced on April 26 in London by a prestigious panel of industry experts, including model and activist Naomi Campbell, Burberry’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, industrial designer Marc Newson, and the Artistic Director of Hermés Women's Ready-to-Wear Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski. The finalist will be awarded the International Woolmark Prize with a cash prize of 200,000 Australian dollars (about 139 thousand euros) to invest in the development of their business, while the Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation will be awarded to another finalist receiving 100,000 Australian dollars (about 69 thousand euros).

The seven finalists will present a Merino wool collection for Autumn/Winter 2022 highlighting transparency throughout their supply chain and, alongside partner Common Objective, will build a sustainability roadmap. All finalists will have the opportunity to be stocked in some of the world’s leading stores, via the International Woolmark Prize Retailer Network.
