The Confédération Européenne du Lin et du Chanvre I CELC, together with Les Échos-Le Parisien, will organize the 1st Linen Day Paris: a day of immersion and meetings to celebrate the virtuous, innovative and creative properties of European linen. A zero waste fibre, Made in Europe, which reveals an infinite creative potential, a true source of inspiration for creators and designers.

During the event, aimed at the European leaders of fashion, home decoration and lifestyle brands, but also at their spinning, weaving and knitting suppliers and opinion leaders, experts and major stakeholders will share their views on the fibre and linen, a material to think about tomorrow in order to leverage a change that is already underway, accelerate the sustainable transition in the fashion and lifestyle worlds and to open a dialogue with all the players within the textile industry.

The program includes keynotes & roundtables, from 9:00 to 5:00 pm, based on the leading role of the linen today. What are consumers’ new expectations about linen? How has the pandemic accelerated trends or changes that are already underway? How can linen position itself to play a bigger role in tomorrow’s world? These and other questions will be answered by some of the invited speakers. Among them, Alexandre Capelli, deputy director of the environment (Lvmh Group), Julie Pariset, CSR and innovation director (CELC), Julie Venard, traceability and certification project manager (CELC), Marie Demaegdt, textile & CSR director, Simone Sommer, director of the CSR materials and innovation division Marc O’polo International GmbH.
