Paris Fashion Week for Man starts on June 21 and it will run until June 26, 2022 showcasing the men's spring 2023 collections. Focus on five designers.

Bluemarble
Founded in 2019 by the Filipino-French designer Anthony Alvarez, the brand is based in Paris. At the heart of Bluemarble lies the commonality between world cultures through the vibrancy of youth. He embraces his recollections and embarks on a voyage that celebrates life and the singularity of people. Notes, images and memories from Anthony’s travels are translated into garments nourished by urban cultures, subcultures and the MTV generation. Bluemarble staged its debut runway show in 2021 presenting its SS22 collection between the storied colonnades of France’s National Archives building. The collection was inspired to tropical surfers with tropical references and seaside motifs represented through prints and embroideries.

KidSuper
The streetwear brand was founded by Colm Dillane, the winner of the Lvmh Karl Lagerfeld Prize in 2021. The designer debuted last January at Paris fashion week presenting his autumn-winter 22/23 collection with a fashion film set in Brooklyn, where he tells the story of a boy from New York who started making T-shirts and selling them in his school cafeteria. The short film is an episode of the TV series "The misadventures of Kidsuper". The collection was inspired by the murals and paintings of the Big Apple.

Hed Mayner
The Israeli-born 33 year old designer Hed Mayner, who won the Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the Lvmh Prize 2019, presented his very first fashion show in the official calendar of the Paris Fashion Week for Men in 2020. Hes Mayner was born in Amuka, Northern Israel, he began his studies at the Bezalel School of Fine Arts in Jerusalem, before moving to Paris where he studied and graduated from the French Institute of Fashion. He founded his eponymous, unisex brand in 2015, in Tel Aviv. The sacred and the traditional are both part of Mayner's aesthetic, as well as a passion for authentic menswear pieces, which he likes to twist and rework. Impeccably tailored and constructed, the designer's clothes are as beautiful inside as they are on the outside, evoking a subtle sense of luxury which must be felt and experienced instead of being seen. Balancing thick and fluid, stiff and soft, hard and gentle, he underlines the importance of his own craft, as well as an inspired take on menswear staples.

EGONlab.
Egonlab is a Parisian unisex brand founded by Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix. The label creates unique pieces with a punk spirit and an attention towards detail and elevated tailoring, by taking the traditional suit and reimagining it, with the aim to challenge conventional dress codes. In 2021 the brand was awarded the Pierre Bergé Prize at the Andam Fashion Awards, a prestigious European design, which allowed them to expand the brand's identity.

Alled-Martinez
Barcelona-based designer, Archie M. Alled-Martinez, is the founder of his eponymous label. He moved to London in 2009 to study at Central Saint Martin, where he started his Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a BA Honours in Fashion Knitwear. In 2018 the designer got the Lvmh Young Fashion Designer Award. Alled-Martinez started creating the aesthetic of his brand looking at the Night scene in Paris in the late 70s and 80s and its people, a time were a young and wild initial punk generation mixed up in the same time and space with the aristocracy of the time. That mix of something elevated but with a debauched touch really inspired what the label is all about. The brand intends to revisit the classic wardrobe and relaunch it, modernising it and creating a real product where the main character is the fit, and the material. With the intention to keep its technical dna, which is knitwear but also exploring different eras, different materials and new shapes that are more relevant to today’s landscape.
