Ercole Botto Poala is the new president of Confindustria Moda, the Italian Federation that brings together the associations of the Textile, Fashion and Accessory sectors. Botto Poala already held the position of vice president of the Federation.
Botto Pola succeeds Cirillo Marcolin, eyewear entrepreneur, former president of Anfao, the optical industry association, and president of Mido, the international eyewear fair.
"The appointment", reads the official statement, "takes place in the logic of alternating representation of the textile-fashion and accessory sectors and in the continuity of its projects."

Ercole Botto Poala, born in 1971, after his studies and his professional training abroad, began his path in the Italian wool Reda, occupying different roles from production to marketing, from new business to design, until he was appointed ceo in 2005. Since February 2016, he has served for more than four years as president of Italian textile trade show Milano Unica.

"The challenges ahead, such as sustainability, digitization and internationalization," said the new president, "can only be met by working in a unified way, as a system. It will be my task to lead Confindustria Moda into a new phase of its life, where the union will be increasingly strong and solid."
