The eighth edition of Fashion Graduate Italia Stay curious!, the format of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Ente del Terzo Settore that has brought together the best Italian Fashion Academies, Institutes and Schools, with the aim to contribute to the bonding of the education system and the fashion industry, was hosted at Base Milano from November 3 to 5, 2022.
In accordance with this vision, from this edition onward, Fashion Graduate Italia launched the new project Talent to Talent, aimed at the best international universities and academies with the goal of creating a global training channel that promotes continuous dialogue between talented individuals from every region in the world and creates new channels of exchange and mutual development. Special guests of this first edition of the Talent to Talent project are the cities of Daegu and Osaka that, thanks to a partnership with the Municipality of Milan, brought Fashion Graduate Italia the creations of students from their most prestigious universities of fashion and design. This initiative further strengthened the synergy between Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda and the Municipality of Milan, becoming part of the network of international cooperation designed to promote City-to-City partnerships with the whole world.
Another key theme of this edition was sustainable innovation with the new project Fashion Schools for Design - Driven Sustainable Innovation, set up in partnership with C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity, Lifestyle And Sustainable Energy), the international eco-hub that since 2007 has supported a next-generation fashion wherein the union of design, innovation, communication and responsibility creates aware and competitive businesses, capable of playing not only an economic but also a social role. The selected students planned and created an outfit, each using sustainable materials supplied by companies in the C.L.A.S.S. portfolio.
"Once again this year, we have chosen to create a phygital event to offer a wider audience the chance to attend our shows, participate in workshops and experience how the best Italian schools work to educate young people," said Matteo Secoli, chairman of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda. "This year, we have decided to focus on the theme of sustainable innovation with a project developed through our collaboration with C.L.A.S.S."
“The key theme is sharing the knowledge of new values resulting from the integration of responsibility in design, innovation, materials and communication," stated Giusy Bettoni, ceo and founder of C.L.A.S.S. This means knowing the impact that each of these dimensions can have on people, the environment, wildlife and the oceans. The real innovation is that of raising the standards of performance and quality of life without creating environmental impact, and this is the real meaning of responsible innovation.”
