Portugal Fashion and Tranoï are committed to Portuguese design and have signed an exclusive partnership for the next 5 editions. 3 Portuguese designers will be selected at each edition jointly by Portugal Fashion and Tranoï to present their collections to the international audience of Tranoï. The show, partner of Paris Fashion Week, confirms its unique positioning as an event for international creative brands.

For the January edition, which will take place from January 19 to 22, at the new location Garage Amelot, 3 Portuguese designers have been selected: David Catalán, Huarte, and Estelita Mendonça.

David Catalán is a Spanish fashion brand, founded in 2012 and based in both Oporto, Portugal and Madrid, Spain. David Catalán, founder, creative director and head designer, creates clothes inspired by modern culture, with sporty silhouettes and overlays. All this is combined with an innovative approach aimed at researching new techniques and creating new materials. With expertise, under David’s close inspection and direction, the brand produces high quality street aimed pieces of menswear, elegant sartorial pieces mixed with edgy accessories and oversized pieces of streetwear.

Huarte is a Portuguese brand founded in 2019 by creative director and designer Victor Huarte, graduated in fashion design at Esdir (Spain) and Esad (Portugal). The brand offers a mindful, modern outlook and stylish wardrobe both for men and women to overcome the gender boundaries. All garments are made in Portugal, from high-quality materials, created under one premise: should be both versatile and made to last.

Estelita Mendonça is a Portuguese contemporary menswear brand founded by its eponymous designer. The label has always worked with deadstock fabrics, in addition to the conventional materials. Estelita Mendonça won an honourable mention as Best Designer at the Bloom Exhibition for the International Fashion Showcase in London, followed by an award in Fashion by Prémios Novos in Lisbon.
