The men's fashion is ready for a new season with Pitti Uomo, the international trade fair running in Florence from Jan. 10 to 13, and Milano Moda Uomo, scheduled from January 13 to 17, 2023. The next fashion week will feature 21 fashion shows, 31 presentations, 5 presentations by appointment, 4 digital content and 11 events for a total of 72 appointments.

To open Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023 Men’s Collection will be Gucci, which returns to the men’s calendar after three years, while Zegna will close the physical fashion show calendar with a show on Monday, January 16, at 3 p.m. JW Anderson also confirms its presence in Milan, and London-based brand Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, which had been on the calendar in June 2022 with a digital project, will make its milanese catwalk debut. The calendar of presentations will feature for the first time Add, Bonsai, Charles Philip, Iuter, Sestini, Tagliatore, and Valstar.

This edition will be promoted by a communication campaign created by Cnmi, City of Milan and Yes Milano and will be displayed on screens through the City of Milan from January 9 to 17. The location research focused on a tale of an unusual Milan: shot by photographer Paolo Zerbini with styling by Riccardo Maria Chiacchio at Balera dell’Ortica, the campaign features the looks of Federico Cina, Çanaku, MTL Studio and Bonsai.

“Once again Milan confirms its centrality as the capital of men’s fashion, thanks to the presence of the highest Italian excellence, but also of a series of innovative and cutting- edge international projects and players,” commented Carlo Capasa, chairman of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. “Creativity, innovation, quality and sustainability continue to be the main levers for the continuous development of the Italian men’s fashion system. The Fashion Week calendar we are presenting today proves to be full of appointments that demonstrate great dynamism in the sector.”

Events include Colmar, which will preview the new Colmar Revolution collection on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; PT Torino; and Lardini. On Jan. 14 at 8:30 p.m., the first collaboration between Marni and Carhartt WIP will be presented. While, on Monday, January 16, the presentation event “The Added Element” will take place, during which The Woolmark Company & Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will unveil the novelties of the technical partnership, showing the fundamental role of Merino wool in the clothing and uniforms of the team and crew.

The Milan Fashion Week Men’s Collection can also be followed on the milanofashionweek. cameramoda.it platform, which will also host a section dedicated to virtual showrooms, both multi-brand and single-brand. Each showroom will have the opportunity to present, with regard to Cnmi-approved brands, photos and videos of the collections, contacts, sales campaign dates and press releases. The showroom area will remain active even after Fashion Week in order to be consulted by system operators even during the sales campaign. A showroom calendar will also be created with all sales campaign dates and contacts so that appointments can be made: a useful working tool for Italian and international buyers to be able to facilitate their agenda, which will be disseminated through Cnmi channels.

“With the Fall/Winter 2023 edition, the Men’s Milan Fashion Week confirms its attractiveness by bringing to the city the protagonists of the sector and the excellence of Made in Italy in a schedule rich in appointments, dynamic in formulas and contaminated in collaborations," said councillor for economic development, with responsibility for fashion and design, Alessia Cappello. "Together with the great brands, which we are pleased and honored to host, new talents will present their shows in Milan and this shows, once again, the attention of Camera della Moda to young people. I then look with particular favor on the initiative launched for this edition of men’s fashion and dedicated to women: a mentoring path that, like the City’s project, aims to help them find their way in the world of work.”

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana continues to promote through ad hoc projects the issues related to its strategy, enhancing talents and encouraging environmental sustainability and social justice. With this in mind, Cnmi announced the opening of the call for applications for the Cnmi Fashion Trust Grant 2023, promoted by the Camera Moda Fashion Trust, an initiative created to support and promote the new generation of independent Made in Italy brands, which for the first time also opens to menswear brands. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana also continues to promote Equality issues with the launch of a new project to support women. Cnmi, in partnership with Salesforce and in collaboration with D.i.Re (Donne in Rete contro la violenza), is pleased to announce the Empowering Women in Fashion Retail mentoring project, dedicated to women from all over Italy with different professional backgrounds, with the aim of providing the necessary skills to start on a career path in the fashion retail sector. Ten mentoring sessions, taught by industry experts identified by Cnmi and Salesforce.
