The project, called “Adopt a School,” launched in 2021 by Fondazione Altagamma in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, reaches its second edition. The iniziative aims to establish a relationship between technical-professional schools and the luxury industry to respond to current requirements of creative companies that today need manufacturing talents.

Brands involved include new six names Davines, Ferrari Trento, Feudi di San Gregorio, Gucci, Pomellato, and Zegna. The new Altagamma companies join the 17 that took part in the first edition and that continue their commitment for the 2022/2023 school year: Aurora, Benetti, Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Bulgari, Fendi, Ferragamo, Giorgetti, Herno, Isaia, Loro Piana, Masseria San Domenico, Moncler, Poltrona Frau, Stellantis con i brand Alfa Romeo e Maserati, Technogym, The Gritti Palace Venice.

According to the president of Fondazione Altagamma Matteo Lunelli, “The artisanal craftsmanship is in fact at the heart of the Made in Italy excellence and it is a heritage that must be safeguarded and handed down to future generations.”
"It is estimated that in the next five years, manufacturing jobs in fashion, automotive, design, hospitality and food sectors will amount to 346,000 and this large demand will not find an adequate response by the workforce,” added Stefania Lazzaroni, general manager of Altagamma.

Among the schools participating in the initiative there are the Istituto Bartolomeo della Montagna (Vicenza), combined with Bottega Veneta, the ISS Vincenzo Moretti of Roseto degli Abruzzi (Teramo) with Brioni, the Istituto Tecnico Ascanio Sobrero - Casale Monferrato (Alessandria) with Bulgari, the Ipsia Ostilio Ricci - Fermo and the ISISTIL Russell Newton - Scandicci (Florence) with Fendi, the IIS Benvenuto Cellini (Florence) with Ferragamo and with Gucci, the Acof Istituti Olga Fiorini - Busto Arsizio (Varese) with Herno, the Isabella d'Este Caracciolo Institute (Naples) with Isaia, the Ipia Giuseppe Magni - Borgosesia (Vercelli) with Loro Piana, the IIS Caterina da Siena (Milan) with Moncler, the Galdus (Milan) with Pomellato and the Ipsia Bellini (Novara) with Zegna.
