Danish trade show Ciff-Copenhagen International Fashion Fair announced the acquisition of competitor Revolver Copenhagen Int. Fashion Trade Show.
The acquisition, valid from Summer 2023, joins the two leading fashion trade fairs strengthening the image of the Scandinavian fashion industry. As both fairs have been competing before, the acquisition is a strategic move and it will develop the fair experience in Scandinavia, so that b2b customers will be offered a unified trade fair experience and order platform at the same time.
“I am humbled and deeply excited by the opportunity to lead this new and united organization, which rests on the shoulders of some of the most competent and experienced trade fair experts Scandinavia has to offer,” said Sofie Dolva, director of Ciff. “Now we go all in on creating even more progress and value for the stakeholders of Copenhagen Fashion Week. This merger will be the biggest power move the European fashion fair industry has experienced in many years,” she added.
Revolver’s entire organisation will relocate to join the Ciff team in their headquarters at the Bella Center Copenhagen, where moving forward both fairs will be centrally coordinated, whilst maintaining the Ciff and Revolver brands, two unique fair concepts and locations with Ciff at Bella Center and Revolver at Øksnehallen taking place in the same dates.
"I am thoroughly proud of this solution. It took willpower, time and hard work from all parties to reach this goal," said Maibom, founder and creative director of Revolver via a statement. "By uniting each of the two organizations' unique qualities, we can deliver a fantastic and future-proof framework which I personally and together with the rest of the Revolver team very much look forward to being a part of."
