The project 5Vie Art+Design inaugurated ten years ago. It’s getting ready for Milan Design Week with interesting initiatives dedicated to authors’ design and to the contamination of design with art and high craftsmanship, between the confines of Corso Magenta, Sant 'Ambrogio, and the Columns of San Lorenzo.

This year's exhibitions and installations produced by 5Vie address themes such as spirituality, the connection with nature, the relationship with one's historical roots, the drama of incommunicability and the notion of connection. "Through aisthesis then, feeling with the senses and with the heart, design becomes a language capable of connecting human beings beyond all borders and diversity and it turns into a tool for constructing values," the organization said in a statement. "With this title, we want to draw attention to the need to rediscover a fundamentally human dimension, which contrasts disengagement with total commitment, total dedication to the other, restoring relationships and rediscovering the natural exchange between human beings."

A Future for the Past curated by Maria Cristina Didero
Cesare Correnti 14, 20123 Milano
The project on•entropy is curated by Maria Cristina Didero. The exhibition is a tribute to the precious heritage of the marble of Tinos and the evolution of the typical craftsmanship of this Greek island, reflected in the changes in society over the years. In a sensorial setting of lights, shadows, incense smells and relics, a 'cabinet de curiosité', the exhibition of the Greek duo formed by Niki e Zoe Moskofoglou tells the story of the marble of Tinos through objects, historical photos and videos, developing the centre-piece of the installation around a sculptural marble table-altar.

Chronic Pain Orchestra
Cesare Correnti 14, 20123 Milano
Swiss artist Johannes Willi presents Chronic Pain Orchestra, for the first time in Italy, an installation that invites the viewer to confront the corporeal dimension of relationships, the urgency to communicate and the limitations of language when expressing pain. The artist develops a concept that was initiated back in 2019, as a result from a six-month residency period alongside chronic patients at the pain clinic of the Paraplegic Centre in Nottwil, Switzerland. Willi will present in Milan a second version of the project, which already had its first moment, with a different set of sculptures, in Switzerland.

Human Mandala
Siam 1838, via Santa Marta 18, 20123 Milano
The installation is a celebration of the interconnectedness of human beings. The exhibit features a series of real human bodies arranged in a circular mandala formation, with each individual standing naked and vulnerable, yet connected to the others through a network of root-like structures like a mycelium organism. The bodies are arranged in a way that creates a sense of symmetry and balance, with each individual contributing to the overall beauty and harmony of the piece.

Silent Hollows + #mirrors by Sebastiano Deva
Siam 1838, via Santa Marta 18, 20123 Milano
Richard Yasmine, with the artistic direction of Sebastiano Deva, presents Silent Hollows, a tribute to Mother Nature, its essential qualities/innate dispositions and its relationship with the internal human pandemonium. The perception is translated into a reproduction of the external crust of our globe, and it is being converted into poetic functional objects. It is an installation composed of different sizes of organic shaped mirrors, tables and wall mounted lights, altogether recreating an interstellar scenery or a celestial scenography, with an immersive three-dimensional vr experience transporting the viewer from a dramatic to an alternative mystic planetary landscape celebrating the journey through virtual sensations.

Prendete e Mangiate
Siam 1838, via Santa Marta 18, 20123 Milano
The exhibition, curated by Sara Bologna, brings together international artists, artisans, and designers who present their personal perspective on the theme of the table. Called upon to share their stories through their objects, they metaphorically sit at this table with sensitivities of different ages and cultures, from different creative approaches.

Love Letters
Cesare Correnti 14, 20123 Milano
The project, curated by Anna Carnick, for Anava Projects, is an intimate exhibition showcasing a new collection of works with a strong autobiographical component. The international artists on displays are Agustina Bottoni (Buenos Aires, Milano), Eve de Haan (Londra), Ibiyanε (Martinica), Ahryun Lee (Essenbach), Xanthe Somers (Londra) e Maryam Turkey (New York).
