Among the international projects at Fuorisalone 2023, Masterly - The Dutch in Milano returns with its seventh edition at Milan design week to present the best of Dutch design, from April 18 to 23, 2023. The event, supported by the Embassy and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy and curated by founder Nicole Uniquole, will be held in a new location: Palazzo Giureconsulti, in piazza Mercanti, near the Duomo, welcoming more than 80 participants.

The columns of the loggia will be decorated with a scenic floral installation crafted with the contribution of Italy’s Rattiflora and imagined together with the Dutch artist and set designer Tom Postma. The entrance foyer will embellish the walls of the building with a custom-made setup featuring thousands of colorful orchids from Orchids Netherlands.

The ground floor is dedicated to Technology projects, in which the beauty and perfection of the projects speak of advanced technologies and innovative materials. The area will showcase the luminous creations of Lucas Zito together with the work of photographer, artist and narrator Jonas Peterson.

The Sala delle Colonne will host three Dutch companies: Vbh, a leader in the field of ultra-luxurious motor boats, Desso presents a collection of rugs designed by Patricia Urquiola, and Vonn Jansen, a family company producer of wood furniture, which showcases the artisanal techniques of the past, including marquetry and veneer, that are reworked to create contemporary graphic patterns. The long loggia that runs along the facade will host the presentations of FritsJurgens and the designer Carina Riezebos with the brand Blok Plaatmateriaal.

On the floor underground there are the ceramic works of Pierluigi Pompei and the colorful handmade rugs designed by Marcel van Doorn for the brand Fuli. On the first floor two thematic areas: a section dedicated to Collectible Design, pieces between art and design in limited series or one-of-a-kind pieces; the other, in the Sala Donzelli, is dedicated to a choral presentation on the future of living.

The floor above contains two multidimensional installations. There are five young graduates from the Amsterdam and Rotterdam campuses of the Wood & Furniture College (Hmc), Mondilab, and Fatboy, with pieces designed by the Dutch duo Kranen/Gille and the designer Erik Stehmann.
