The Cfda appoints 10 new members

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, which host the annual CFDA Fashion Awards announced the addition of a total of 10 designers to its membership roster.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association founded in 1962, whose membership consists of 448 of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers. The mission of the CFDA is to strengthen the impact of American fashion in the global economy.

The 10 new CFDA members are:

Tremaine Emory, Denim Tears
Danielle Hirsch, Danielle Frankel
Greg Lauren, Greg Lauren
Raul Lopez, Luar
Jamie Okuma, J.Okuma
Daniel Roseberry, Maison Schiaparelli
Rio Uribe, Gypsy Sport
Elena Velez, Elena Velez

It’s so important for the world to see talent at the highest levels coming from America. Our newest members represent everything America has to offer… diversity… creativity… and true individual talent,” said Thom Browne, CFDA chairman.

These ten designers were purposely selected and invited by the Board of Directors, which is a great honor. The CFDA looks forward to their active participation within the organization and working together to help champion and elevate American fashion and drive positive change,” said Lisa Smilor, CFDA executive vice president.

The designer additions bring the total CFDA Membership to 458.
