Pharrell Williams’ debut opens Paris Men’s Week

There is a lot of anticipation for the debut of Pharrell Williams in the role of Louis Vuitton's creative director. The American musician and fashion entrepreneur, who is succeeding Virgil Abloh, will unveil his first collection for the French house on the evening of June 20, the first day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Paris Fashion Week will run from June 20 to 25 presenting in total 80 brands, 42 fashion shows and 38 presentations which will also be broadcast in live streaming on the Chamber's online channels. Among them, 42 brands will unveil their collections troth a catwalk shows, while the remaining 38 have opted for a unique presentation format.

The Bachelor of Arts show of the Institute Française de la Mode will kick off the calendar, published by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. Closing the week on June 26 is Ludovic de Saint Sernin, who has recently left the Belgian house Ann Demeulemeester as creative director after only one season.

The new names on the presentations calendar include recently announced Cfda/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Angelo Urritía of the New York-based label 4SDesigns, International Woolmark Prize winner Adeju Thompson founder of the Nigerian label Lagos Space Programme, the Japanese label Bed J.W. Ford, and C.r.e.o.l.e, the brand by Vincent Frédéric Colombo. Debuting on the official calendar will be Burç Akyol, who is one of the nine finalists of the Lvmh Prize.

Also on the calendar are Kidill on June 20; Walter Van Beirendonck, Facetasm, Bianca Saunders, and EgonLab. on June 21; Rick Owens, Givenchy and Dries Van Noten on June 22; Dior Homme and Kenzo on June 23; Hermès, Loewe, and Marine Serre on June 24.
