Niccolò Pasqualetti, Marcello Pipitone and Setchu are the recipients of the third edition of Camera Moda Fashion Trust 2023 Grant, the project launched by Camera Moda Fashion Trust, the nonprofit organization established in 2017 to support young Italian or Italy-based talents in developing their businesses with financial aid, as well as business mentoring programs and tutoring.

The call for participation in the project was launched by Camera Moda Fashion Trust on its website last December, and among 76 applicants, the 10 finalists were Cavia, Federico Cina, Florania, Francesco Murano, Marcello Pipitone, Marco Rambaldi, Niccolò Pasqualetti, Saman Loira, Setchu, and Ssheena.

The winners were selected by a committee co-headed by Chiara Ferragni (ceo and president Tbs Crew & Chiara Ferragni brand) and Elia Maramotti, brand director and member of the Max Mara fashion group sustainability committee.

The three winning brands will receive 40,000 euros each in funding, as well as a business mentoring and one-to-one tutoring, while Max&Co awarded an amount of 15,000 euros to Florania, who will also have a chance to collaborate on a special project with the brand. In addition, all four beneficiaries will receive a personalized mentoring program, from experts of The Bicester Collection, for crucial training for the growth of their brand. Designers will also have the chance to sell their creations in a free retail space in Fidenza Village (a supporting partner of the trust together with Max&Co) within the pop-up boutique, The Creative Spot, scheduled for 2024.

The jury committee included Manuela Brini, director of creative talent acquisition and development at the Lvmh Fashion Group; Carlo Capasa, chairman of Italy’s Camera Nazionale and a trustee of the talent support organization; Francesco Ragazzi, founder and creative director of Palm Angels; Umberta Gnutti Beretta (Camera Moda Fashion Trust Co-Founder & Co-Chair), Stavros Karelis, founder and buying director of hip retailer Machine-A; Stefano Martinetto, cofounder and chief executive officer of London-based Tomorrow Group, as well as Michelle Francine Ngonmo, founder and ceo of the Afro Fashion Association and the Black Carpet Awards, Sara Sozzani Maino (Camera Moda Fashion Trust Advisory Board Member); Dounia Wone (chief impact officer Vestiaire Collective) among others.
