Andam revealed the 12 finalists for this year's Andam Fashion Awards. The award, now in its 34th year, has a mission to support emerging talents who have distinguished themselves in the international fashion scene. It recognizes global emerging design talent, accessories designers, and young French brands.
The project gives beneficiaries a Grand Prize of €300,000 and the Special Prize of €100,000. Among the finalists, there are Andreadamo, the first Italian to compete since 2014, Ester Manas founded by Esther Manas, Gmbh, Duran Lantink the brand based in Amsterdam and Paris, Marie-Christine Statz's label Gauchere, and the French menswear brand LGN by Louis Gabriel Nouchi.
The Pierre Bergé Prize of €100,000 sees competing Ouest Paris founded in 2022 by Arthur Robert, Avellano by Arthur Avellano, and the Parisian women's ready-to-wear brand Vaillant. The jewelry brand Alighieri by Rosh Mahtani, the Italian Marco Panconesi founder of his eponymous Paris-based jewelry brand Panconesi, and the Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginskyi founder of his eponymous hat brand are vying for the Fashion Accessories Prize of €100,000. The designers will be evaluated based on their creative and commercial potential by a jury composed of 31 members during the final presentation taking place on June 29, 2023.
The jury, chaired by the ceo of Chloé Riccardo Bellini, includes permanent members such as Saint Laurent ceo and president Francesca Bellettini, Michael Kliger of Mytheresa, Renzo Rosso president and founder of the Otb Group, human rights activist Trisha Shetty, Stefano Martinetto founder and ceo of Tomorrow to which are added some guest members such as the international models Gigi Hadidi and Pat Cleveland.
