The Tranoï trade show, Paris Fahion Week official partner, is held in Paris four times a year. In January (men) and March (women) for the autumn-winter seasons, and in June (men) and October (women) for the spring-summer seasons. Tranoï has been a Modem customer/partner since its very first edition in October 1997.

Over the past two years, season after season, Tranoï has established exclusive agreements and privileged relationships with institutional representatives of the fashion system in various countries. This approach has enabled Tranoï to present and to introduce several emerging designer brands from these countries to professionals that attend Paris Fashion Weeks. In the Modem Mag and in our Newsletters, we highlighted the institutional presence at Tranoï of the Seoul Fashion Week brand selections, Portugal Fashion and the Canex Project, Japanese designers and the new Peruvian scene. Moreover, we underlined the presence of Italian brands promoted by ICE and highlighted that of the London show Rooms with the emerging British designers' brands.

The architect of this new dynamic specific at Tranoï is CEO Boris Provost, who has taken over the presidency in 2019. In the international trade show context his curated approach, working closely with selected governmental bodies and institutions, is a distinguishing element for this trade show.

We asked him 3 questions on this subject;

What led you to establish relationships that made you the official representatives of several international fashion system institutions?
BP - In this unique ecosystem in Paris, Tranoï's ambition is to present a highly creative and international offering in the cultural venue that is the Gaîté Lyrique. We select talents for their vision of fashion and their know-how. Working and forging partnerships with international institutions enables us to showcase the very best in design, and enrich our offering. Buyers are mobilised and appreciate this commitment.

What changes and results have been to establish through these relationships?
BP - As part of our partnership with Seoul Fashion Week and Seoul Metropolitan Government, we have presented a selection of Korean designs for our previous Women's editions, with shows at the Palais Brongniart. For the first time, at the Gaîté Lyrique, we are presenting a selection of 6 men's designers: Beyond Closet, Sling Stone, Ul:Kin, Blr Bluer, Ajobyajo and Acceptance Letter Studio. 3 Korean designers: ‘‘Beyond Closet, Sling Stone and Ul:Kin‘‘ will be presenting their S/S 24 collections at an exclusive show on Saturday 24 June at 6pm at the Gaîté Lyrique (by invitation only).
UL:KIN - Korean men designer

Portugal Fashion is stepping up its support for Portuguese designers. For the first time, this year's show will welcome 5 Portuguese designers (instead of 3), thanks to the partnership forged with Portugal Fashion in 2021. These designers confirm the cosmopolitanism, creativity and cultural richness of a country that for too long has been confined to its industrial base. David Catalan, Estelita Mendonça, Huarte, Senscommon and Pedro Pedro‘wsee their job as fashion designers as being both rooted in their identity and open to the world.

Do you plan other connections with institutions in other countries in addition to those with which you already collaborate?
BP - This year we signed an MoU with China Fashion Association, and for the first time, as part of this partnership, Tranoï is welcoming 2 Chinese designers selected for their expertise and innovation. An opportunity to present their S/S 24 collections to the press and international buyers during Paris Fashion Week®. Discover Valleyouth and Three in All for the first time in Paris.
