The Amiri Prize, set up by Mike Amiri in 2021, is an inclusive annual award and incubator established to encourage, nurture and showcase up-and-coming talent from fashion and fashion-adjacent fields that otherwise might not have their voices heard.
After taking a break last year, the award competition returned for 2023 and opened for the first time to international applicants.
From three finalists, a winner will be selected by an inspiring panel of experts from the fashion, music and entertainment industries. The prize includes 100,000 USD and a personal mentorship with founder and creative director Mike Amiri. The spirit of the yearlong program is one of transparency, generosity and guidance within an often hard-to-access industry.
Joining Mike Amiri on the panel are 9 accomplished and inspiring visionaries and entrepreneurs, including Colm Dillane, founder and creative director, KidSuper; June Ambrose designer and creative director; and Law Roach image architect, among others.
The winner will be announced Oct. 23, 2023.
