The emerging brands at Sphere PFW ® showroom

Since January 2020, the FHCM has operated SPHERE – Paris Fashion Week® showroom, with the support of LE DEFI and L’Oréal Paris. SPHERE's mission is to support emerging designers. It brings together a group of brands invited to the Official Calendar or fashion prize winner, selected for their creativity and development potential.

Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 showroom session will take place at the Palais de Tokyo from Wednesday February 28th to Tuesday March 5th 2024. A digital showroom will also be accessible by invitation with the technical support of Le New Black and Grand Shooting. The designers showing at Sphere this season are: Charles De Vilmorin, Didu, Florentina Leitner, Lucille Thievre, Maitrepierre and Paolina Russo.

CHARLES DE VILMORIN
Artistic Direction: Charles de Vilmorin / Year of creation: 2020

Graduated from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, Charles de Vilmorin launched his label at the end of the first confinement with a collection of ten jackets. He was a guest member of Couture Week in January 2021. In February 2021 he was appointed artistic director of Rochas. In July 2023, he will present his first Couture show for his eponymous label.

DIDU
Artistic Director: Di Du / Year of Creation: 2019

Didu established her brand in 2019, currently expanding its presence in both Paris and Shanghai. Du’s non-conformist styling and emphasis on body-acceptance have become her daring signatures that stand out through the seasons. In April 2023, she collaborated with Mytheresa on an exclusive capsule collection, providing a global platform for emerging designers from the region. Since September 2021, DIDU has been showcasing its creations at the Official Calendar of Paris Fashion Week."

FLORENTINA LEITNER
Artistic Direction: Florentina Leitner / Year of creation: 2021

Florentina Leitner playfully combines a chic wardrobe with girly details. In her collections, she embraces her Austrian roots and Belgium, where she settled after studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and working for Dries Van Noten. Already known for its 3D prints and flowers, the brand founded in 2022 produces its collections in small artisanal factories in Italy.

LUCILLE THIEVRE

Lucille Thièvre is a finalist in the 2019 Hyères Festival after working as a stylist for Hermès and Givenchy. She then developed her own collection of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes and decided to launch her eponymous brand in 2021. Each season, she shares her love of jersey, drawing on the vocabulary of swimwear to sculpt the body, the draping of shiny viscose and signature denim pieces with a twist.

MAITREPIERRE
Artistic Direction: Alphonse Maitrepierre / Year of creation: 2019

After studying at La Cambre in Brussels and internships at Jean-Paul Gaultier and Acne, Alphonse Maitrepierre founded his eponymous brand in 2019. Mixing technological innovation and ecology, he masters an assumed old-fashioned with structured jersey silhouettes and colorful prints. In 2021, he won the Prix de la Ville de Paris Prize Emerging Brand and was also noticed for his collaborations with Emmanuelle Khan and Desigual.

PAOLINA RUSSO

Both graduates of Central Saint Martins, Paolina Russo and Lucile Gilmard bring together artisanal methods and industrial production, seamlessly connecting heritage craftsmanship and modern technology. The Franco-Canadian duo were finalists in the Woolmark Prize and the LVMH Prize in 2023. The London-based brand is supported by the 1 Granary platform. Winner of the first Zalando Visionary Award, Paolina Russo presents her collections at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
