Major comebacks and debuts characterize Milano Fashion Week Men’s Spring Summer 2025, taking place from June 14 to 18, 2024, an event produced thanks to the support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency (Ice) and the Municipality of Milan.
On the calendar for this edition, there are 20 physical and 4 digital fashion shows, 44 presentations, 8 presentations by appointment, and 8 other events totaling 84 appointments. Opening the Fashion Week is Moschino, for the first time with its men’s collection and women’s pre-collection under the creative direction of its new designer Adrian Appiolaza. Appearing for the first time on the Milan fashion show calendar are Martine Rose, the brand of the British designer who has always shown on the London calendar, and the Dunhill brand, whose designer Simon Holloway debuted with his first collection in London in February. On the digital calendar for the first time is the Chinese brand Valleyouth.
Returning to the fashion show calendar this time round is Magliano, which appeared in Florence in January. JW Anderson has announced its participation with a show and an event. Gucci confirmed its slot on the calendar. Zegna will close the physical show calendar.
Debuting on the presentations calendar will be Ascend Beyond, a finalist at the 4th Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant; Cortigiani, the Made in Italy menswear brand founded near Padova in the early ‘80s; David Koma, a brand of the eponymous Georgian designer who has chosen Milan for the debut of his first men’s collection and who shows his women’s collection at the London Fashion Week; Des Phemmes, which will be showing its women’s collection in a presentation by appointment; Diomene, the brand of designer Damir Doma; Gams Note, already on the digital calendar in previous editions; GR10K, a brand founded in Milan in 2017; Henrik Vibskov, the Scandinavian brand will be showing in collaboration with Ciff (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair).
For this edition, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will also be launching a collaboration initiative with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (Ciff). At Palazzo Giureconsulti from June 14 to 18, a selection of Scandinavian designers will present their collections in a static exhibition. In addition to the Henrik Vibskov brand, which will also be on the official presentations calendar of the Milano Fashion Week, CIff Showrooms Milan will be involving brands like Mark Kenly Domino Tan, Envelope 1976, Aiayu, Adnym, Isnurh, and Les Deux.
In another international initiative, Cnmi and Seul Metropolitan Government have signed a Protocol Agreement and will work together to promote some emerging Korean brands which will be selected by an international jury in June and will debut at the September Fashion Week. These brands will also enjoy the benefit of a mentoring program produced by CNMI and the Seul Metropolitan Government.
“The richness and variety of the appointments on the calendar, new participation by certain international brands, including the collaboration with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, all confirm the vitality and appeal of the Milano Fashion Week," said Carlo Capasa, president of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. "Special thanks are due to all the operators in the system who have contributed with their passion and determination to make Milan a platform capable of providing vision, opportunities, structures, and services and to welcome the numerous guests we’re expecting. Creativity, Made in Italy, heritage, innovation, and sustainability are the values marking out the work of a great many people, their efforts culminating in this Milano Fashion Week.”
The new communication campaign produced by Cnmi, the Municipality of Milan, and Yes Milano to promote the Milano Fashion Week Men’s Collection Spring Summer 2025 also centers on story-telling Milan’s most characteristic places and will be aired on municipal screens and bill-boardings from June 7 to 18. Thanks must go to Università Bocconi, which hosted the campaign, shot by photographer Eugenio Intini and with styling by Giulia Meterangelis. It features four models wearing looks by Ascend Beyond and Federico Cina, the two finalist brands at Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant 2024, and by brands Çanaku, Jordanluca, Maragno, Mtl Studio, and ViaPiave33.
