For the SS25 edition, CPHFW-Copenhagen Fashion Week will host a showroom during Paris Fashion Week, presenting a selection of brands including A. Roege Hove, Alectra Rothschild/Masculina, Berner Kühl, mfpen, Nicklas Skovgaard, OpéraSport, Rolf Ekroth, Stamm.
The eight brands partaking in the Paris Showroom have been all part of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s official show & presentation schedule. Being on the official schedule at Copenhagen Fashion Week requires brands to meet CPHFW’s Sustainability Requirements. As such, all brands in the Paris Showroom have proven their dedication and drive to a more positively impactful fashion industry and the responsibility for their own footprint within it.
Four of the designers, Alectra Rothschild/Masculina, Berner Kühl, Rolf Ekroth, and Stamm, are currently enrolled in the CPHFW NewTalent incubator scheme and have been included to spotlight the journey of these emerging brands and to act as an example for other emerging brands to present innovation and responsible structural implementation within modern fashion business models today. A. Roege Hove and Nicklas Skovgaard are both alumni of the talent scheme.
By utilising the format of a showroom in Paris, Copenhagen Fashion Week will not only be supporting the economic growth of key Nordic voices, but it will also be an opportunity to inform and educate the fashion industry on the role of a fashion week in supporting talent and small businesses while driving an ambitious sustainability agenda to effectively support brands in their responsible practices.
The intention to have brands that are both part of the talent program through CPHFW NewTalent and that are aligned with the CPHFW Sustainability Requirements is to show both the importance of the journey and transition as well as success stories in rolling out a business and scaling through positive impact.
The responsible efforts of each brand will be highlighted in the showroom through special informative assets for the visitors as well as dedicated onsite introductions and information from CPHFW and the brands themselves to spotlight their values, mission statements, and more importantly, the actions taken.
“I am delighted that Copenhagen Fashion Week will be hosting its first international showroom this coming September during Paris Fashion Week, this will be a key moment for our continued focus on spotlighting a selection of brands that are part of our community with our global audience and supporters," said Cecilie Thorsmark, ceo Copenhagen Fashion Week. Through the support of funding from the shared grant pool of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ shared fund for strategic cultural collaboration as well as through support from the Danish Arts Foundation, both supporting sustainability and green transition within the cultural sector, this showroom will be a focal moment to present our Sustainability Requirements as well as brands living up the requirements to the international fashion industry and to forge impactful collaborations in order to accelerate change towards a more positive industry.”
