Seoul Fashion Week’s spring summer 2025 edition takes place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from Tuesday, September 3 to Saturday, September 7 for five days.
Launched in 2000 and celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, Seoul Fashion Week has become a global fashion business platform that garners all attention beyond the domestic market by showcasing the runways of Korea’s top fashion designers every season.
Youser, the brand founded by Lee Moo Yeol, opens the SS25 edition with a fashion show on Tuesday, September 3, at 11:30 a.m. This season, six newcomers present their collections during Seoul Fashion Week. They are Duckdive, L’Eau Et, Arts De Base, Kelly Shin, Cokie, and Phenomenon Seeper. In addition to 21 prominent K-Fashion labels, including highly regarded domestic and international brands like Ajobyajo, Ulkin, and Maison Nica.
The SS25 edition of Seoul Fashion Week features 92 local fashion labels and 120 foreign buyers from 24 countries as well as domestic buyers at the trade show, and the event provides opportunities for up-close and personal views for collections and contracts through consultations. The Fashion Order Exhibition with 62 participating brands that take place in DDP from September 3 (Tuesday) to September 5 (Thursday) offers over 1,000 order consultations over the three days.
In keeping with last season, showroom tours present 28 brands in three areas of Seoul: Cheongdam, Seongsu, and the newly added Hannam. Over two days, from Thursday, September 5 to Friday, September 6, they expect to provide more than order consultations. Every season, Seoul Fashion Week seeks to boost K-Fashion’s competitiveness in global markets. To further solidify its position as a global business platform, the organisation launches a new presentation program, this season to highlight brands and collections to buyers and the media. The presentation is a new type of sales model that differs from runway and exhibitions and is expected to generate more substantial and effective order consultation outcomes and publicity by focusing on carefully selected buyers and press based on information such as the purchase history of domestic fashion brands in the last three seasons. The program includes four labels, Seokwoon Yoon, Eenk (Yongsan-gu showroom), Bonbom, and Mmam, which present at the offices of fashion webzine Daily Fashion News, and one corporation, Hyosung Tnc. The latter holds an exhibition-style presentation at Seoul-On Virtual Studio, located on the second floor of DDP Design Lab.
In an attempt to promote designer fashion presentations with a variety of personalities, the Seoul Metropolitan Government also works to promote off-shows by designers at locations other than the DDP held during Seoul Fashion Week. This season, the DDP outdoor space and Seosomun Shrine History Museum host a unique runway featuring three brands: Sling Stone, Caruso, and Big Park on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4.
This season, Seoul Fashion Week also has the citizen invitation events to provide the public with an opportunity to attend. Approximately 300 citizens awarded tickets through a lottery for the citizen invitation event, which Seoul Fashion Week welcomed applications for through its official social network media (Instagram) from August 6 until August 19 . The winners of the event get a special chance to observe the fashion presentations firsthand.
