The winners of Milano Moda Graduate 2024

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana announced the winners of the tenth edition of Milano Moda Graduate, an initiative dedicated to the excellence of Italian fashion schools. The finalists presented their outfits with a fashion show at the Sala Cariatidi of Palazzo Reale, held on September 17, 2024, at the opening of Milan Fashion Week. The host of the evening was Serena de Ferrari.

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana award was won by designer Ioana Nicole Babici of the Istituto Marangoni.

The winner is decided by a jury chaired by Renzo Rosso, chairman of OTB, and composed of Carlo Capasa, chairman of CNMI; Beppe Angiolini, talent scout, owner of Sugar and honorary president of Camera Buyer Italia; Alessandro Sartori, artistic director Zegna; Sabrina Scarpellini, co-founder & fashion director, Massimo Bonini Showroom; Sara Sozzani Maino, creative director, Sozzani Foundation, international new talent and brands ambassador, CNMI, National Chamber of Italian Fashion; Cathy Yeonchoo Lee, global creative director, Cross-cultural Business in Fashion and Luxury Consumer Goods Seoul Fashion Week, Seoul Metropolitan Government.; Mocien Wang, buyer, SND - Selection of Nonconformist Design.

The winner was selected among 10 design students from Italian fashion schools who were asked to create an outfit entirely dedicated to closure accessories. Masahiko Okahara, Commercial Director YKK Italy, awarded the winner, who will have the opportunity to visit Japan on a trip dedicated to discovering the YKK reality.

In addition to the two prizes, a special mention was awarded to Tommaso La Sala, from Accademia Costume & Moda.

Milano Moda Graduate represents a unique project in which all the professionals of the fashion system find space. The cornerstone of the project is the mentoring path, in fact, for the seventh time, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana offers students an educational path consisting of workshops and specific consultancy on various topics, including sustainability and production techniques, trends and international markets, merchandising, and digital communication. Among the appointments, are workshops with YKK Italia and TikTok Italy and visits to Gucci ArtLab, Casa Zegna, and Lanificio Zegna.
