Modem has selected six labels to watch for Winter 2025: Susan Fang, Benedetta Bruzziches, Institution by Galib Gassanoff, Lorenzo Seghezzi, Denisa Rad, Bergie by Giorgiandreazza.
SUSAN FANG
Supported by Dolce & Gabbana
Susan Fang is a London-based contemporary womenswear brand, established in 2017 after Susan Fang graduated from Central Saint Martins. Susan Fang’s universe is poetry. The designer is constantly inspired by the charm of nature and perceptions of beauty to carry out each of her collections. Such influences are seen in the practicality of her patterns, the beauty of asymmetry, mathematical garment construction, transparencies and innovation of materials. In the words of the Chinese designer “my vision is not guided by a trend or style or even an aesthetic, but overcoming the realm of design to express a mirage of artistic illusions.” The FW25 collection, Air•Memory, explores the pursuit of happiness, a heartfelt tribute to the designer's mother Ai Lan, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in bringing her childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer to life. The collection celebrates the beauty of diverse cultures, the power of human connection, and the timeless value of handcrafted artistry; merging Chinese and Italian craftsmanship, celebrating the shared value of family and the beauty of human energy.
BENEDETTA BRUZZICHES
Sales Campaigns until March 15, 2025 @ Massimo Bonini Showroom
via Alessandro Manzoni 41 - 20121
Benedetta Bruzziches creations are born in the hills of Caprarola, in a factory nestled in the woods of Tuscia, where art and craft constantly dialogue. Here, a close-knit group of young artisans, led by Benedetta and her brother Agostino, meticulously care for each bag, devoting themselves to creating timeless jewelry. The production value of Benedetta Bruzziches bags was imagined and developed from the possibilities and opportunities of the place. The brand builds its production on the community and artisans of the Caprarola area. In 2025 Benedetta Bruzziches celebrates the 16th anniversary. A brand that has grown like a person: changing, evolving, and discovering new paths. The presentation of the FW 2025/26 collection reflects this path made of creativity, courage and artisanal passion. “Our mission was not only to create bags, but to be able to do it from home, in the place where we feel we belong... Innovation comes from the authentic expression of our identity and the rich texture of our local heritage."
INSTITUTION BY GALIB GASSANOFF
Institution, the creative project founded by the Georgian fashion designer Galib Gassanoff (former co-founder of Act N°1), stands out for its deep roots in the personal and aesthetic origins of its founder, and the rich cultural heritage to which it is intrinsically connected. The project will operate as a social-artistic organization with an ethical foundation. The name itself is intended to mirror the project’s larger scope beyond fashion. Institution is a new chapter. An institution is a humanly devised structure of rules and norms that shape and constrain individual behaviour. All definitions of institutions entail a level of persistence and continuity.
LORENZO SEGHEZZI
Lorenzo Seghezzi is an artisanal clothing brand based in Milan, Italy, dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional Italian craftsmanship and the younger generation’s desire to break free from the confines of capitalism, consumerism, and rigid societal norms like gender binarism, standard sizing, and mass production. In the brand's vision, terms like "masculine" or "feminine" have no place; instead, elements of both are playfully blended and presented in unconventional ways that challenge and subvert traditional fashion codes. The FW25-26 collection, titled "Epitelio", draws inspiration from the sensations of body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria, two deeply impactful experiences shaping one’s relationship with their body. Through bold sartorial storytelling, Seghezzi explores the altered perception of self and the discomfort faced daily by many transgender and queer individuals, challenging aesthetic and gender norms.
DENISA RAD
Denisa Rad, a young designer graduated from the Naba-Italian Fine Arts Academy, is the founder of her eponymous label. The brand is characterized by a strong attention to sustainability, innovation and quality, giving life to an ethical and cutting-edge design with garments and accessories that interpret the codes of modernity and environmental awareness. The FW25 collection takes inspiration from the sophisticated bon ton of the 60s, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, among A-line lines and bouclé fabrics, embellished with rounded collars and golden buttons.
BERGIE BY GIORGIANDREAZZA
Giorgia Andreazza founded her homonymous brand Bergie by giorgiandreazza in Milan in 2018. The 100% made in Italy brand is based on the parallelism between current events and socio-cultural aspects, and the process of combining engineering inspirations, current events and tech-futuristic imagery. She approaches unusual materials in collaboration with nautical and military supply companies, fireproof, bulletproof compounds such as Kevlar, carbon, and glass fibers. The FW25 collection, named "Connected Distances", explores the contrast between intimacy and technology, inspired by the simple yet profound act of sharing a coffee. Each piece embraces that duality: the warmth of tradition meets the sharp edge of innovation.
