Following the success of the You&ME tour in France, which welcomed over 7,500 visitors across 4 cities, the event continues its journey in Italy, making stops in Rome and Florence. For the third edition in the country, LVMH Métiers d’Excellence aims to highlight the diversity of “Made in Italy” craftsmanship to a new generation of talents who can carry forward these traditions.

HOW DOES THE YOU & ME TOUR WORK?

The first stop took place on March 20 at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome, marking the first appearance of LVMH Métiers d’Excellence in Rome, a city known for its cultural heritage, history, and traditions. Thanks to its strategic central location, the event sought to engage young talents from across the country. Additionally, Rome is home to some of the Group’s most iconic Maisons, such as Bulgari and Fendi. The You&ME tour will continue its Italian journey on April 4 and 5 at Stazione Leopolda in Florence, recognized as a symbol of Made in Italy craftsmanship and the Italian hub for LVMH Métiers d’Excellence.

"Transmitting savoir-faire requires time and dedication. The Italian You&ME tour is a great opportunity to raise awareness among young generations and inspire vocation for our 280 savoir-faire professions. With more than 30 free training opportunities offered by the Institute of Métiers d’Excellence in Italy, the LVMH group is deeply committed to ensuring the dynamism and diversity of our talent pipelines within Creation, Crafts, and Customer Experience professions," said Maud Alvarez-Pereyre, group chief human resources officer at LVMH.

During the events, participants will get the opportunity to explore several dedicated spaces: The LVMH Museum, an exhibition area showcasing the Group’s six business sectors through iconic objects from its Maisons; Immersive pavilions, where visitors can discover the Maisons savoir-faire, interact with skilled professionals, and talk to HR representatives; Interactive workshops, hosted by Métiers d’Excellence craft partners in Italy, offering hands-on experiences to discover new professions; Coaching sessions, led by HR experts, providing insights into professions such as jewelry, hospitality, retail, and leather goods; Virtual reality experiences, immersing the visitors in the savoir-faire ecosystems of our Maisons; A space dedicated to the Institute of Métiers d’Excellence, where attendees can learn about free training programs available in Italy.

THE INITIATIVES OF LVMH TO VALORIZE TALENT

LVMH Métiers d’Excellence, active in Italy since 2017, keeps developing projects and initiatives with the goal of safeguarding the heritage of savoir-faire belonging to the Italian ecosystem. In this regard, the You&ME tour will involve many local high schools, which will be encouraged to continue exploring these professions and foster new vocations through other ongoing initiatives, such as Excellent!, a career orientation activity created in 2021 for middle and high school students in Italy, or the in-depth exploration of over 30 free training courses offered by the Institute of Métiers d’Excellence across the country.

At the same time, LVMH Métiers d’Excellence is committed to valorizing talent through its engagement in both internal and external initiatives. Internally, through the Virtuosos program, established in 2021, which fosters excellence within the Group’s Maisons. Externally, by creating the Maestri d’Eccellenza Prize in 2023, in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), which celebrates and promotes the outstanding craftsmanship and heritage that define the essence of Made in Italy.
