The British Fashion Council announced the recipients and shortlist of its annual talent support schemes.
The lineup of the 2025/2026 NewGen this year is comprised of Aaron Esh, Aletta, Charlie Constantinou, Derrick, Ewusie, Johanna Parv, Karoline Vitto, Kazna Asker, Liza Keane, Lueder, Louther, Oscar Ouyang, Octi, Pauline Dujancourt, Steve O Smith, The Ouze, Tolu Coker, and The Winter House. The cohort this year was chosen for their creativity, strong design aesthetic, and point of difference. Each will receive mentorship and support in order to take their brands into the future.
The BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund celebrates exceptional talent and creativity and empowers business growth through bespoke high-level mentoring and professional services, and a cash prize of £150,000 to support the winner’s growth and contribution to the British and global fashion ecosystem. The winner for 2025 is Conner Ives.
The BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund provides the winner with a cash prize of £100,000 to support business growth and the winner’s contribution to the British and global fashion ecosystem, as well as pro-bono bespoke high-level business mentoring and professional services. The shortlisted designers for 2025 are Bleue Burnham, clothsurgeon, Harri, Labrum London, and Saul Nash.
Currently in its 15th year, the BFC Fashion Trust empowers positive business growth through financial grants and mentoring. Grant money relates to a defined project that will be delivered within a set period. All recipients demonstrated how their project aligns with their broader business growth vision and shows a clear return on investment. BFC Fashion Trust is open to all ready-to-wear collections and/or accessories. The recipients are Clio Peppiatt, Edeline Lee, Harri, Nicholas Daley, and Tove.
