The official schedule for the Spring/Summer 2026 Shanghai Fashion Week has been unveiled, with the season set to kick off on October 9.
The Xintiandi Main Tent will showcase over 4,000 new apparel and accessory designs from both domestic and international brands. The 20th Labelhood Pioneer Fashion & Art Festival will take place at Suhe Haus & Oct, continuing to serve as a stage for Chinese emerging designers to showcase their work and amplify their voices. The Glam showcase will present its signature social dressing showcase at New Bund 31, while Kidswear takes over Jing An 800 Show with a dedicated children’s fashion spotlight.
This October edition, several influential designers will celebrate milestone anniversaries on the Shanghai stage. At Xintiandi, 8ON8 will unveil its collection to mark the brand's 8th anniversary, while Xuzhi will stage a grand show to celebrate its 10th anniversary. At Labelhood, Shushu/Tong also celebrates its 10th anniversary with a finale showcase. Meanwhile, Le Fame will host a 10th-anniversary show and a thematic exhibition along the Bund.
The season will spotlight the convergence of fashion with technology, sustainability, and cultural creativity. KSF will make its Shanghai Fashion Week debut, collaborating with designer label Rico Lee on fabrics crafted from tea residues and recycled plastic bottles, reinterpreting sustainable fashion through the lens of a leading FMCG brand. JNBY will open the Kidswear children's fashion segment with a show.
Internationally, adidas will host its "Power of Three" series at Shanghai Old City Hall, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the adidas Shanghai Creative Center. The event will feature musicians, dancers, artists, and supermodels, embodying the journey from sports fields to catwalks and streets.
The Xintiandi Main Tent will also feature internationally renowned names, including Korean label Eenk, as well as emerging voices from France, Italy, and Vietnam. Danish brand Only will celebrate its 30th anniversary, while designers from Malaysia and Vietnam will join the Glam showcase, further underscoring Shanghai’s role as Asia’s fashion hub.
Global partnerships remain a strong highlight this season. Luxury group Kering will host the 4th Kering Generation Award China Ceremony, focusing on water-positive impact and supporting Chinese startups with transformative potential.
The Trade Show segment, this season's Mode Shanghai Fashion Trade Show will also open on Oct 9 at the United Centre. The exhibition will span over 17,000 square meters, featuring nearly 250 brands from 30 countries, with overseas brands accounting for more than half, confirming itself as a global launchpad for brands entering China.
Alongside, Mode will partner with Showrooms such as Tudoo, DFO, and Alter to build an integrated ordering platform. Korean collective MIK Fashion returns for its third participation, doubling in scale, while Mode collaborates with DFO Showroom on an “International Brand Debut Zone” tailored for labels entering China for the first time. The Ulio Sustainability Space will gather 11 eco-conscious brands to spotlight material and design innovation.
Beyond Mode, a host of trade platforms, including ONtimeshow, Tube Showroom, not Showroom, Tudoo Showroom, Lab Showroom, Notes Shanghai, Blooming Showroom, and The Cool Hunter Showroom, will once again unite to present new collections.
A diverse lineup of nearly 20 events will run concurrently. M Space Opening Forum will bring together leading Chinese fashion brands and their founders to explore the theme of “long-termism”, sharing how cultural heritage can propel brands from local beginnings to global recognition. The Shan Future Forum 2025: Rebooting Fashion will examine how cutting-edge technologies are reshaping design language, supply chains, consumer behavior, and storytelling. A Magazine Curated By 25 Years of Curation and Creation will collaborate with Labelhood to showcase original works by renowned international designers and exclusive pieces by Chinese designers. Shanghai Fashion Weekend will debut at Yong Yuan in Jing’an District under the theme “The Good Old Days”. Featuring a vibrant mix of retail, cultural experiences, and social engagement, the event will present curated products through launches, pop-ups, and lifestyle markets. Additionally, the 2025 Shanghai Xintiandi Fashion Festival Special Showcase will return under the theme of “First,” presenting around 10 instant “see-now, buy-now” runway shows, more than half by first-time participants.
