Donatella Versace has been named president of the jury for the Latin American Fashion Awards 2025, taking place from November 6 to 9 in the Dominican Republic.

Founded by Constanza Cavalli Etro and Silvia Argüello, the Awards, which earned the nickname “the Oscars of Latin Fashion", have become a platform spotlighting the designers, artists, and entrepreneurs shaping Latin America’s growing cultural and economic footprint globally. The inaugural edition attracted talent from over 25 countries and generated more than 3.3 billion media impressions.

"A symbol of bold creativity and global influence, Donatella Versace has spent decades shaping the worlds of fashion, art, and culture. As the visionary force behind the House of Versace from 1997 to 2025, she redefined the codes of luxury, power, and femininity, transforming the Italian brand into a true cultural powerhouse. Donatella Versace’s decision to serve as president of the jury stands as a powerful endorsement of Latin American creatives on the global stage," said a statement.

In a landmark moment for the global fashion community, Donatella Versace joins the illustrious panel of industry leaders to honor and champion the most visionary creatives from across Latin America and its global diaspora. The jury features Nina García of Elle US, Imran Amed of The Business of Fashion, Steven Kolb of the CFDA, Gabriela Hearst, Anna Dello Russo, Carlo Capasa, and other notable voices who collectively shape the future of the industry.

“I have always championed the next generation of design talent… I am honored to be President of the Latin American Fashion Awards,” commented Donatella Versace

This year’s Awards theme, Hot by Heritage, celebrates the fiery energy and resilience of Latin identity, highlighting how cultural roots influence and ignite global creativity. Winners announced in November will not only receive recognition but also enter a dedicated growth program during Milan Fashion Week 2026, fostering mentorship, international visibility, and long-term impact.
