The 11th edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, the first fashion week open to the city and dedicated to the creativity of tomorrow's fashion talents, returns from October 28 to 30, 2025, at BASE Milano. The event is organised by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Ente del Terzo Settore (PSFM ETS). This hub brings together the best Italian undergraduate training institutes and academies in the sector, and is sponsored by the Lombardy Regional Authority and the Municipality of Milan.
Fashion Graduate Italia will have as its guiding theme "Bridging Tribes, Building Dreams", an invitation to celebrate the confluence of identities, cultures, and visions, exploring fashion's ability to create connections and new possibilities. In an increasingly fragmented global scenario, creativity remains a universal language capable of breaking down barriers and giving rise to new shared perspectives. A manifesto in which differences become a strength to build the future of fashion together.
There are 18 Italian schools, academies, and fashion institutes associated with Piattaforma ETS participating in the event: Accademia Costume & Moda; Accademia IUAD; Accademia del Lusso; HARIM Accademia Euromediterranea; AFOL Moda; Domus Academy; Ferrari Fashion School; IAAD. Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design; IED. Istituto Europeo di Design – IED; Istituto di Moda Burgo; Istituto Marangoni Milano; Istituto Modartech; Istituto Secoli; LABA Firenze; NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti; Next Fashion School; Moodart; Raffles Milano.
Each year, Fashion Graduate Italia celebrates the heritage of know-how and culture at the heart of fashion education in Italy. This knowledge is transmitted through a significant network of schools with diverse yet complementary identities. Fashion Graduate Italia aims to connect this educational heritage with the world of work, to renew our country's fashion system and make it increasingly competitive with respect to the challenges of the international market.
The Talent To Talent format, created in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan as part of the City to City programme, continues to grow. This project, designed to promote the creation of an international network with Italy's education system at its centre, brings the creations of students from the most prestigious international fashion and design universities to Milan every year.
12 international educational institutions are participating in the event: AMD Akademie Mode & Design (Munich); Centro | Diseño, Cine y Televisión (Mexico City); Columbia College Chicago (Chicago); De La Salle College of Saint Benilde (Manila); Faculdade Santa Marcelina (São Paulo); Keimyoung University (Daegu); Kyungpook University (Daegu); Lisaa Mode Paris (Paris); Nanjing University of the Arts (Nanjing); RMIT University (Melbourne); Taylor's University (Kuala Lumpur); UEDA College of Fashion (Osaka).
The Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design is once again a partner of Fashion Graduate Italia as part of a multi-year cooperation agreement signed with Piattaforma Moda ETS to promote cultural exchange between fashion universities in different regions of China and Italian schools.
As of this year, the event benefits from the partnership of NextCouture, a marketplace exclusively dedicated to customisable garments and accessories, which also allows emerging new talent to be promoted on a global platform directly connected to the relevant market.
Fashion Graduate Italia promotes a series of important initiatives designed to support the access of newly graduated students to the working world and to enhance educational opportunities in the area. From the portfolio review to activation of a hub dedicated to the portfolios of the best graduating students on the event's website, this edition's programme is full of events designed to amplify the opportunities for contact between young talents and companies in the sector in search of the best professionals. Fashion Graduate Italia also dedicates an important space to talks on fashion professions with the intention of offering tools for career guidance to young people who are interested in a career in fashion.
Lineapelle, in collaboration with Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, launches the"Next Gen Leather Designers" contest, an initiative dedicated to students graduating from schools associated with Piattaforma ETS, which is aimed at promoting the creative and responsible use of leather and innovative materials in the design of garments, accessories, and footwear. The contest is part of a broader project that aims to bring the world of education closer to the world of production, with a focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues, the culture of Made in Italy, and sustainability in processes and materials.
Among the initiatives of the 2025 edition, Fashion Graduate Italia hosts the launch of the second edition of the CFMI Academy. Arising from the partnership between Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and UniCredit, with the involvement of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS together with Polimoda as Educational Partners of the initiative, CFMI Academy has been set up to support new young entrepreneurial ideas capable of combining responsible innovation, sustainability, and Made in Italy fashion excellence.
Fashion Graduate Italia also hosts the presentation of the third edition of the Guide to Creative Professions, produced by Campus. This valuable tool is designed to provide an overview of study and work opportunities in the fashion and creative industries.
