Fashion Trust Arabia, a nonprofit fund that supports emerging design talent from the Middle East and North Africa, announced the winners of its 2025 awards in Doha, at the National Museum of Qatar, during a ceremony presided over by Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, honorary president of Fashion Trust Arabia.
Moroccan Youssef Drissi's label Late for Work took out the ready-to-wear designer award. Saudi Arabian-based Ziyad Albuainain is the winner of the eveningwear category, while Moroccan designer Leila Roukni won the accessories category for her brand Talel. The Egyptian designer Farah Radwan's brand Fyr won the jewelry category.
The winning designers of the trust's seventh awards edition will receive grants ranging from $100,000 to $200,000. The winners will also benefit from a one-year mentoring program with The Bicester Collection, and their designs will be stocked at Harrods and Ounass for one season.
Other winners included Bahrain-born, Switzerland-raised designer Alaa Alaradi for the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent award, and Bahraini sisters Dalal and Fatema Alkhaja, who took home the Fashion Tech Award for their brand Touchless.
Indian designer Kartik Kumra received the award dedicated to the guest country for his label Kartik Research, while fashion veteran Zuhair Murad won the Trailblazer Award for his commitment to regional talent..
Italian fashion and entrepreneur Miuccia Prada was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, "for Prada’s profound and enduring influence on international style". The award was presented by Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, president of the National Museum of Qatar and co-chair of the FTA.
Founded in 2018 under the patronage of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Fashion Trust Arabia is the first initiative in the Arab world dedicated to supporting emerging designers from the MENA region. Co-chaired by Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani and Tania Fares, the organization offers financial rewards and high-level strategic mentoring. In just seven years, it has established itself as a key platform for providing international visibility to a new generation of talent.
