Parisian designers like Coco Chanel and Hermès created military-inspired fashion and modern pieces during the war, a time when fabrics were rationed, showing how the French fashion industry was able to adapt to the paucity of materials. The exhibition features historic clothing women wore during the war, such as original dresses, coats, capes, hats, shoes and accessories.
