Remix, the international fashion & fur design competition organized by The International Fur Federation (IFF) and Vogue Talents, revealed its winning designers at its annual award ceremony in Milan.

The jury, composed of Sara Maino (Senior Editor of Vogue Italia & Vogue Talents), Gian Luigi Paracchini (Fashion Critic at Corriere della Sera), Tamu McPherson (American blogger author of All the Pretty Birds and street-style photographer), Gabriele Colangelo (Fashion Designer), and Malcolm McInnes (Group Director of Education at Instituto Marangoni), awarded the Turkish designer Yusuf Kalem with the Gold prize.

Yusuf Kalem, who graduated from the Yeditepe University in Istanbul, seduced the jury with three looks inspired by the ceiling of the Belgian Royal Palace in Bruxelles and the work of Belgian artist and multi-tasker Jan Fabre. The designer translated the artistic suggestions into elaborated garments that featured fox and mink furs. The silver prize went to Sophie Sälekari from Helsinki, Finland, for her creative mix of Saga Furs royal mink, calfskin and Swarovski embellishments, while the Italian, Lorenzo Sisi, scooped the bronze trophy with a coat that combines sheared and long fur. All the three winners will be featured in Vogue Italia with a special editorial that will be published on the magazine’s official website by the end of the month.
