The Rencontres d'Arles (formerly known as the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles) is a summer photography festival founded in 1970 by Arles photographer Lucien Clergue, author Michel Tournier and historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette. The exhibitions, often co-produced with both French and foreign museums and institutions, are given on various heritage sites, suitably stage-designed for the purpose. Some sites (for example, 12th century chapels or 19th century industrial buildings) are open to the public only for the duration of the festival. Many photographers have been discovered as a result of the Rencontres; a sure sign of the festival’s importance as a springboard for photographic and contemporary creative talent.

ART-O-RAMA, created in 2007, is the first international art fair in the South of France and has been developing a new format that makes its uniqueness ; each booth is considered as an exhibition space which architectural specificities lie on the gallery’s curatorial proposition for our fair. We allow gallery owners to present themselves under a unique and original light ; signing their artistic line in a space they have designed according to the project they have built with their artists.

A HIGH POINT IN THE INTERNATIONAL ART CALENDAR, THE LYON CONTEMPORARY ART BIENNALE IS GAINING FRESH IMPETUS IN 2019. Thanks to the exceptional Fagor Factory site being made available – a complex of more than 29,000 sqm in central Lyon – the 15th edition is unprecedented in scale. This huge disused facility, together with all the macLYON space and interventions throughout greater Lyon and in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, make up an outsized field of experimentation that is ripe for the artists’ taking and giving the event a new dimension.
