Curated by Luisa Bocchietto, former Chairman of ADI and design critic; Beatrice Galilee Chief Curator of Architecture Triennale Lisbon 2013, and co-curator of the Gwangju Design Biennale; Alexander von Vegensack, President C.I.R.E.C.A. Domaine de Boisbuchet, founder and director of the Vitra Design Museum (1988-2011).

DOMUS presents Voices, a video installation designed with Studio Azzurro to bestow a sentimental map of the city to the international public of the Fuorisalone. A multicoloured collage of stories and evocations expressed by architects, designers, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, professionals, start-up creators, authors of new visions, artists in the music, poetry, theatre and performance field, but even by the common people who live in Milan day by day. And Milan becomes a standard of world cities.

The installation by Daniele Innamorato in the hall at the HOTEL STRAF is part of a series that the artist has provokingly called “Stupid Artists Combine Things” , in reference to a trend set within the world of contemporary art, beginning with Marcel Duchamp’s avant-guardie, followed by Robert Rauschemberg, through to Bruno Munari’s “useful machines”, the name having been inspired, by the relative linguistic register and with the intent of self-irony, up until the post-modern drift, all is possible in any place, time and semantic space.

To celebrate the Milan design week, Sisley presents Dog Parade by the Portuguese illustrator Mariana Fernandes, resident in FABRICA.
Through an impressive collection of hand painted ceramic dogs, the young artist challenges the perception and meaning of these particular objects, each of them given a new status. The presentation brings our common memories into a new field, where the bibelot becomes art and where drawing is assumed as a new kind of dressing.

MUBA present Design in gioco, a free leisure activity aimed at increasing children's knowledge of the world of design. by involving them in a journey of exploration and analysis of everyday objects which will be exposed in the event "Confession of Design - 61 Austrian designers, manufacturers and long-established companies will be presenting the latest design trends from Austria. It was the studio Vasku&Klug of Vienna which was asked to come up with a concept for the 2014 show. When creating the architectural design for this event, the aim was to treat the sacred atmosphere of the Rotonda della Besana with respect and ensure that the exhibits do not enter into competition with it. In keeping with the motto CONFESSION OF DESIGN the products of contemporary designers as well as long-established and more recent manufacturers provide a subtle but unmistakable reference to Austria's historical tradition of product design and related fields of activity.
