The Berlin Fashion Film Festival has been an integral part of Berlin's international creative scene since 2012. In the course of networking events and film awards, agencies, production companies, directors and fashion designers discuss and present the latest trends and talents in the field of visual storytelling every year. To support the fashion industry, BFFF KULTURPROJEKTE gGMBH and QUINTO GMBH have conceived a programme that will be shown during MBFW. As part of MBFW, the platform underlines the relevance of moving images in the fashion industry. Supported by the organiser NOWADAYS and the partner Mercedes-Benz, the Berlin Fashion Film Festival will take place in January 2021 surrounded by the industrial charm of the Kraftwerk. The programme includes film screenings and a three-day conference with exciting creatives and decision-makers from fashion, film and lifestyle.

The supporting programme of the MBFW invites the industry and the fashion-interested public to the venue in the form of live streams, virtual reality and live web tours to follow all presentations, shows and contributions live (www.mbfw.berlin).

As one of the most important industry events, THE BERLIN SALON returns to Fashion Week on January 18 with its renowned group exhibition of over 35 German design labels from the disciplines of fashion, jewelry and accessories. In addition to the curated presentation, BERLINER SALON's supporting program expands to include digital conversation formats BERLINER SALON TALKS and DESIGNER DIALOGUES with designers, German fashion experts and local creative talent.

The Fashion Council Germany e.V. commissions the first study on the "Status of German Fashion". The representative body of the German fashion industry aims to analyse the reputation and relevance of the German fashion industry and to address its influence on the economy and culture. The Fashion Council Germany e.V. is striving for the first survey of a report that looks at the core of the German fashion industry with inclusion of all relevant industries of the entire value chain. The aim of the study is to show the size and relevance of the German fashion industry and to quantify its contribution to the German economy.

Creating to empower from the inside out, we will follow the designer Sofie through the studio and the design process, where she explain Anekdot holistic approach to sustainability and the importance of lingerie as it is the most intimate garment that has the power to change the way we feel throughout the day. The designer insights will round up with a dance improvisation, expressing the beauty of dancing in our beings, when feeling comfortable in ourselves and living our values.

202030 - The Berlin Fashion Summit is designed to be(come) a cross-disciplinary platform, where avant-garde creatives and critical grassroot protagonists meet industry stakeholders to work together. The challenge is to connect and find solutions for the needs of diverse fashion industries, consumer cultures, innovation-driven sustainability, and the tech movement.

By involving experts from different disciplines, the 202030 - The Berlin Fashion Summit aims to stimulate a visionary, creative and encouraging dialogue. Through a multi-staged process, we aim to bridge existing innovations with the industry and envision concrete tangible connections and solutions for a more sustainable future of fashion.

202030 - The Berlin Fashion Summit is organized by studio MM04 in cooperation with Sqetch and the Beneficial Design Institute.

Covid-19 lockdowns have altered how people experience the city. But Berlin is the same city, and it's still home to a vibrant creative scene, even if people can't physically connect with it.

Thankfully, culture didn't just stop — it went online. From United We Stream soundtracking our solo Friday nights to endless online exhibitions, Berlin's artists have made sure to keep the city's cultural heart beating.

So, to mark Berlin Fashion week and in collaboration with the city of Berlin, they have created BERLIN, BERLIN, a weekend-long virtual celebration of the city.

They hooked up with some of the best artists, designers, musicians, and photographers in the city to produce exclusive mixes, fashion films, performance art, a mind-blowing AR exhibition, and more. Next weekend, from January 22 to 24, they will have a lineup of content from Keinemusik, Sucuk und Bratwurst, Beinghunted, Acronym, Jonas Lindstroem, and Hamburger Bahnhof, to name just a few.
