The eighth edition of Fashion Film Festival Milano takes place from January 14-18, 2022, in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE-Agenzia. On January 14, the international event, founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro to celebrate the creative universe between fashion and cinema, inaugurates its rich and researched program in hybrid format, online and in presence.

The eighth edition takes place on three platforms simultaneously: the one of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (fashionfilmfestivalmilano.cameramoda.it), the official website of the festival (fashionfilmfestivalmilano.com) and the streaming platform MyMovies.it. There are great names such as Olivier Dahan, who uses cinematic language to tell the stories of prestigious fashion houses such as Gucci, Maison Margiela, Hérmes, Fendi, Trussardi and Burberry next to emerging and experimental directors.

The Fondazione Sozzani presents the exhibition Hyperillustrations by François Berthoud in collaboration with Bulgari. Four decades of fashion told with the distinctive stroke of one of the most emblematic contemporary fashion illustrators, an anthological exhibition of more than one hundred works from the early Eighties to 2022.
Berthoud suggests stories. As scripts without words, some of his portraits possess such intensity that they leap off the page, as if animated by their own will.

“Moving beyond ‘Fashion Illustration’, Berthoud’s drawings and prints are rhetorical erotic assemblages. The experimentation with materials, and ready-made aesthetics are the foundation of his graphic works and best defined as “Hyper-illustrations. Perhaps with his mediation, François Berthoud takes fashion to its artistic and cultural extremes."– wrote Chris Dercon, Gran Palais Director, in an essay published on his work.
