At Palazzo Reale fashion and art are intertwined in the exhibition that pays homage to the creative and revolutionary genius of Salvador Dalì.
Dali's genius combines rapidly evolving expressions of his artistic sensibility and an experimental engagement with new art forms. The exhibition has the collaboration and support of the ones of most prestigious international museum institutions, and seeks to explore the most intimate and intense aspects of the artist's creative process, where fashion and art nurture an ever-evolving form of expression. Fashion is perhaps one of the least familiar fields in which Dali embodied his artistic universe. Yet, fashion is one of the artist's most prolific contributions at all stages of his career. This is a unique opportunity to admire and gain insight into Salvador Dali's astonishing complexity and in part his work as an eclectic genius.
An exhibition by the Municipality of Milan - Culture Area | Palazzo Reale | Skira Editore.
Curated by Laura Bartolomé Roviras and Judith Clark.

Everything has already been said about Picasso, it seems. No other artist has aroused so many debates, controversies, and passions. But how many people know what obstacles the young genius had to face when he first arrived in Paris, in 1900, without speaking a word of French?
The exhibition Picasso the Foreigner presents more than 90 works of the artist, as well as documents, photographs, letters, and videos, and offers a new and bold interpretation of the artist, which addresses urgent issues of our present. Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach and the extraordinary research in the archives of the French police, and the Picasso Museum in Paris, Annie Cohen-Solal reveals this fascinating story from numerous unpublished documents. The original idea for the project was born by Annie Cohen-Solal, scientific curator of the exhibition with special curatorship of Cécile Debray, president of MNPP.

The exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective anthology in an Italian museum celebrates the Franco-American artist known for her big, colourful Nanas, but also revealing her activism through a different interpretation of her work.
Throughout eight sections, the exhibition project narrates Niki de Saint Phalle’s artistic life from the beginnings to her latest works. This diachronic yet strongly anthological rhythm retraces her personal life through the colorful, polymorphic, round, and maternal world of her Nanas (and more), revealing a much less joyful personal life. During her own life, this artist has often had to destroy in order to process grief, then she had to rebuild, breaking the mould through her unconventional artworks, sending messages through her intense provocations, and thus leaving a lasting mark on the art world.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Niki Charitable Art Foundation, this exhibition brings 110 works to Milan, among which a dozen large-scale works, along with a selection dresses from Maison Dior, recalling her modeling past in the beautiful photos portraying her, while simultaneously telling the public, about a very “pop” personal vision of art, perceived as a path affirmation of femininity.

Jean Tinguely (Fribourg, 1925 – Berne 1991) is considered one of the greatest pioneers of 20th-century art who radically changed the concept of the artwork itself, and one of the foremost exponents of kinetic art. His work focuses on the exploration of the machine, its function and movement, its noises and sounds, and its inherent poetry. Tinguely was one of the first artists to incorporate found objects, gears, and other materials into his work, welding them together to create noisy, cacophonous machines powered by real engines. His sculptures also have a performative quality due to their constant movement and peculiar ability to involve the audience.
The exhibition at Pirelli HangarBicocca is the most extensive survey in Italy since the artistʼs death and will include more than thirty seminal works from the 1950s to the 1980s, occupying nearly the entire 5000 sqm space.

Palazzo Reale in Milan presents "Ugo Mulas. The Photographic Operation," one of the most extensive and detailed retrospectives dedicated to one of its most important authors. Curated by Denis Curti and Alberto Salvadori, it offers an innovative perspective with its main narrative focus on the city of Milan, captured in its many facets.
Over 250 images, many of which have never been exhibited before, including precious vintage shots, documents, books, and films, trace the entire production of Ugo Mulas: from theater to fashion, from portraits of international artists and key figures of American Pop Art to intellectuals, architects, and personalities from the world of culture and entertainment, such as Dino Buzzati, Giorgio De Chirico, Marcel Duchamp, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Arthur Miller, Eugenio Montale, Louise Nevelson, Gio Ponti, Salvatore Quasimodo, Giorgio Strehler, Andy Warhol, and many others – spanning cities to nudes and jewelry.

“For My Best Family” is the new exhibition project conceived by artist Meriem Bennani and commissioned by Fondazione Prada.
Combining a new site-specific, large-scale installation with an art film co-directed by Orian Barki, this project explores ways of being together in public and intimate socio-political settings. This project is the most ambitious work Bennani has ever done both in terms of complexity, size, and the length of the creative process, which took more than two years to complete. It is part of a line of programming that Fondazione Prada has been pursuing for more than thirty years, involving collaborations with international artists to create utopian projects that are both conceptually and aesthetically complex.
Meriem Bennani (Morocco, 1988) explores the potential of storytelling while amplifying reality through a strategy of fantastical imagery and humor, juxtaposing and mixing the language of YouTube videos, reality TV, documentaries, animation, and high-production aesthetics. Throughout her career, she has been developing a shape-shifting practice of films, sculptures and immersive installations, composed with a subtle agility to question our contemporary society and its fractured identities, gender issues, and ubiquitous dominance of digital technologies.

Created thanks to the support of the main sponsor, Dils, a leading company in Real Estate, the exhibition pays homage to Carlo Orsi (1941-2021), author, with his Leicas, of a professional path that began in post-war Italy with Bar Jamaica in Brera as a phosphoric place of belonging, frequented by painters, writers, poets. He was an inspirational figure for his entire career.
140 black and white works, almost all vintage from the author's personal archive, printed under his supervision. Photographs that follow the themes dear to Orsi, from his beginnings as a reporter for Corriere della Sera, Panorama, Settimo Giorno, Il Mondo, and Oggi, before becoming assistant to Ugo Mulas and then defining a dissident and ironic style to be applied to different fields of photography.

The exhibition, curated by Judith Clark, seeks to represent the different creative and entrepreneurial interests of Elio Fiorucci (Milan, 1935–2015), the designer, fashion designer and cool hunter whom Gillo Dorfles dubbed “the Duchamp of Italian fashion”. From the 1960s on, the Fiorucci brand revolutionized lifestyle, fashion and the contemporary art scene in Italy. Fiorucci’s concept stores, starting with the first boutique he opened in 1967 in Galleria Passarella, Milan, offered the public an original and eclectic mix of clothing, records, publications and objects from the world over. For more than three decades the stores were also the point of reference for happenings and performances as well as the stage for music and contemporary art capable of attracting intellectuals, performers and artists of every stripe. The retrospective examines, from an international perspective, the cultural context and diverse fields Fiorucci explored through his multifaceted activity, starting with fashion; namely, architecture, design, music, art and entertainment.

A project specifically designed for PAC and outlining Marcello Maloberti’s entire oeuvre. The exhibition is a dedication to Milan, which becomes the real protagonist of the show. A love declaration that Maloberti makes to the city and its inhabitants, a place full of history that accompanied him in building his career. Through his works, the artist intertwines the key themes of his research, creating continuous connections that help the works to coexist and live with each other. Sacredness and the spiritual element emerge among these themes, a continuous reference to everyday life and the elevation of the written word in the form of poetry. Maloberti relates to PAC using both its external and internal spaces, and creating an installation contrasting with Ignazio Gardella’s modernist aesthetics.

10 Corso Como dedicates an exhibition titled "Andrea Branzi. Civilizations without jewels have never existed, curated by Alessio de’ Navasques," to the Italian architect, designer, historian, and theorist Andrea Branzi, one year after his passing, celebrating his radical vision and works.
Awarded with three Compasso d’Oro, one of which was dedicated to his career, Branzi was a multifaceted and radical figure, the author of a forward-looking approach that crossed applied arts, domestic and urban space with an unprecedented sensitivity: a ‘poetic habitat’ and interdisciplinary that the exhibition focuses on starting with a series of gold and silver jewelry, Silver & Gold, and silver and birch wood objects, Silver & Wood, made in Belgium in the second half of the 1990s and collected in a retrospective exhibition at the Ghent Design Museum in 1998.
The exhibition is part of a path of study and reinterpretation - through the archives of artists and designers - of the applied arts, and in particular of a reconnaissance around jewelry and the concept of ornament as a cultural figure, within the artistic programme of 10 Corso Como. Staged in collaboration with Nicoletta Morozzi and Lorenza Branzi as well as Casa Argentaurum and Friedman Benda galleries, Andrea Branzi. Civilizations without jewels have never existed is presented in an itinerary that lines up and creates a dialogue among works, documents, drawings, and photographs. In the bright, wide spaces of the 10 Corso Como Gallery, the installation, conceived as a seamless flow, composes a landscape of objects spanning a period from the mid-1980s to the latest creations of 2023.

A premiere in Italy, more than 100 iconic platinum prints documenting George Hoyningen-Huene's impact on the history of photography. Influenced by classical art and Surrealism, he was part of Man Ray's inner circle, frequented Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dali, Lee Miller, Pablo Picasso, and Jean Cocteau, and worked with Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. His shots captured the vibrant cultural context of the time, from Diaghilev's Ballets Russes to those of dancers Serge Lifar and Olga Spessivtzeva with costumes designed by De Chirico.
