We’re excited to open the doors to a new season at CIFF with a welcoming breakfast designed for our CIFF family and the many new friends joining us this year. The first morning of the fair has always held a special kind of energy, people coming together before the halls fill, conversations beginning to take shape, and the sense of curiosity that sets the pace for the days ahead. This breakfast is our moment to gather, reconnect, and create the foundation for three inspiring days together.
This season, we’re adding something extra to the start of the fair. CIFF’s Director, Sofie Dolva, will take the floor to share this season’s highlights, what’s new, what’s evolving, and what we’re most excited to bring to our community. Her talk will offer a closer look at the direction we’re moving in, the stories behind our themes, and the collaborations shaping this edition of CIFF. It’s an opportunity to understand the bigger picture before stepping into the buzz of the show.
We look forward to beginning the fair with good energy, thoughtful conversations, and the shared spirit that continues to make CIFF a place where ideas grow and relationships take shape.
The event is mainly for press and buyers.

The event presents a curated exhibition showcasing the new identity of ARVtheLabel, a brand positioned at the intersection of fashion and art. The exhibition highlights a collection of wearable art pieces created through advanced upcycling techniques, hand-painted textile artworks, and conceptual garment reconstructions. Each piece embodies a contemporary approach to circular fashion, where discarded materials are transformed into elevated artistic expressions.
The exhibition is developed in collaboration with Hvisk, Amav Second Hand, and Brand Space studio, forming a collective platform that connects craftsmanship, responsible sourcing, and creative innovation. The event takes place in the pop-up location attached to the Brand Space Studio store in the city centre. Amav II provides high-quality pre-owned garments, which serve as the foundation for artistic transformation. Hvisk contributes to the presentation through their vegan leather bags collection and brand activation within the Copenhagen creative landscape. Together, the partners create a unified experience where consciousness is not a concept but a visible and tangible design methodology.

Portugal Fashion & Arts: Inside the Studios curated by Marques’Almeida offers an intimate entry into the place where fashion begins, before it becomes visible. It is not about finished collections, but about the moment when an idea is still matter, gesture and uncertainty. A territory made of fabrics, objects, sketches and evolving experiments, where process is as important as outcome.
The space takes the form of a living studio. Prototypes, textures and fragments of work exist side by side without hierarchy, allowing a close reading of the relationship between intuition, technique and design. Everything can be approached, touched and explored. There is no prescribed path, only a sequence of encounters between the visitor and what is in the process of becoming. More than an exhibition, the project creates an atmosphere. A place where fashion, art and material research intersect naturally, forming a portrait of a creative ecosystem in motion.
Here, Portugal emerges as a field of imagination, sensitivity and continuous experimentation within the contemporary cultural landscape. Alongside this environment, the Portugal Fashion True Fashion Manifesto is expressed in Copenhagen through the action itself. Rather than appearing as a separate statement, it becomes visible in the way the project reveals processes, materials and modes of making.
By opening the backstage of fashion to the public, the experience reflects Portugal Fashion’s sustainability position as a way of working, showing how responsibility, transparency and creative integrity are embedded in how fashion is conceived and produced.
