Castello Sforzesco: Italy On The Snow
See on Map
Exhibitions
December 19 2025 -> March 22 2026
*
The exhibition offers a reflection on the spread of winter sports culture and on the mountains as a prime destination for sports tourism in Italy. Through illustrated periodicals and advertising graphics, it offers an original and little-explored perspective on the origins and evolution of these phenomena, observed alongside changes in fashion and related accessories.

The exhibition will feature a selection of over one hundred items, including magazines, sales catalogs, postcards, brochures, pamphlets, and posters, from the rich graphic heritage of the "Achille Bertarelli" Civic Print Collection.
The exhibition ranges from nineteenth-century Liebig figurines to more recent posters dedicated to the 1968 Mexico City, 1972 Munich, and 1976 Montreal/Canada Olympics.

Among the artists represented are some of the most significant protagonists of 20th-century graphic design: Leopoldo Metlicovitz, Marcello Dudovich, Marcello Nizzoli, Giovanni Manca, Emilio Malerba, Enrico Sacchetti, Aldo Mazza, and Fortunato Depero.

CASVA: De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi. Fantasticamente effervescenti
See on Map
Exhibitions
December 19 2025 -> April 12 2026
*
The exhibition "De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi. Fantastically effervescent" celebrates three iconic figures of Italian design, Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi, founders of the historic DDL studio in Milan. Through a documentary and immersive journey, the exhibition traces design evolution and the experimental approach that made the trio famous, creators of iconic objects such as the Blow inflatable armchairthe Joe sofa, and thecoat rack Sciangai.

Edited by Maria Teresa Feraboli and with staging by Andrea Gianni, the exhibition invites the public to discover the design concept which revolutionised the way people lived in their homes in the second half of the twentieth century, offering spaces more free, flexible, and informal. The projects of the three designers stem from a profound criticism of traditional living, pushing towards visionary housing forms, such as pneumatic domes, residential hypercubes, and radically innovative holiday homes. The objective: restoring the centrality of individual freedom in the domestic sphere.

The opening of the exhibition also marks the debut of CASVA's new home at the QT8 in Milan, reinforcing the centre's mission in promoting the culture of design and design archives as an integral part of Milan's cultural identity.

Hotel Rosa Grand: Enjoy The Snow – Daniele Mazzoleni
See on Map
Exhibitions
February 11 2026 -> March 01 2026
*
Enjoy the Snow is Daniele Mazzoleni's new artistic project, curated by Federico Poletti, presenting a series of works dedicated to snow as a physical, symbolic, and emotional space.

The exhibition is set against the backdrop of the cities hosting the Winter Olympics, unfolding in two symbolic locations: Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.This project engages with both locations and current events, taking the public on a cultural journey that unites contemporary art, local culture, and major international events. Created in acrylic and resin on aluminum prints, the works depict winter landscapes traversed by "ordinary" skiers and portraits of great contemporary Alpine skiing champions, including Sofia Goggia and Dominik Paris.

The project celebrates the mountains as a natural and cultural environment, snow as a place of sport, freedom, and fun, and the universal values of sport: commitment, courage, respect, resilience, and overcoming one's limits. Enjoy the Snow is a visual tribute to Olympic culture, uniting athleticism, nature, and collective identity through the language of contemporary art.

Mudec: The Sense Of Snow
See on Map
Exhibitions
February 12 2026 -> June 28 2026
*
Snow is a natural phenomenon with magical aspects that has always influenced and inspired humanity. Curated by Sara Rizzo and Alessandro Oldani and organized in collaboration with the MIPAM network, the exhibition is a multidisciplinary journey touching on science, art, and anthropology. It displays over 150 works, including paintings, installations, and ethnographic objects.

The exhibition explores how snow and ice evolved from scenic elements in European art, as depicted by artists such as Leytens and Brueghel the Elder, to become central subjects with metaphorical meanings associated with Divisionist and Symbolist visions, as seen in the works of Longoni and Maggi, as well as the naïve approach of Ligabue.

The exhibition will reconstruct the unusual career of this Italian artist, a Russian prince by birth and a Parisian by adoption, who simultaneously embarked on a brilliant career in the United States. Thanks to his great talent as a portraitist, he was sought after by a cosmopolitan elite, celebrities, all of Paris, and even the first stars of American cinema. His life was dotted with crucial encounters and friendships with literary figures such as Tolstoy in Russia and Georges Bernard Shaw in Paris, with whom he shared a vegetarian lifestyle, particularly unusual for the time. In addition to the portraits that made him famous, the exhibition will highlight his animalistic sculptures. Works are on loan from the Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania, which holds one of the artist's most significant holdings, and from important Italian and international collections such as the Musée d'Orsay and the Petit Palais in Paris, the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts, the Sorolla Museum in Madrid, the Detroit Institute of Art, and the Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome, to name just a few.

Exhibited for the first time in Milan, some fabulous paintings by Bolodini, Sorolla, and Repin dialogue with the refined works of the great sculptor who captured the spirit of the Belle Époque.

The exhibition is a co-production of GAM-Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan, Musée d'Orsay in Paris, and CMS.Cultura.

Robe Robertaebasta, the Milanese gallery store founded by Roberta Tagliavini, opens the doors to the new Milanese space of Vip Room, the concept store designed by Monsieur Matteo Sorbellini, within his historic location at Via Solferino 3, in the heart of Brera.

The official opening of Vip Room is scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026, coinciding with the start of Milan Fashion Week. The inauguration will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with a weekend of events and meetings dedicated to VIP clients, the press, and enthusiasts.

The project was born from the encounter between Roberta Tagliavini, the curatorial spirit of Robe, and Monsieur Matteo Sorbellini, the stylist and visionary creative who transformed Vip Room into a poetic community, where fashion once again becomes storytelling, vision, and play.

A natural dialogue between two similar worlds, united by a common sensibility for art, design, and collecting.
