The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris hosts an exhibition dedicated to the creations of Yves Saint Laurent and his passion for the fabrics. In collaboration with the musée des Tissus de Lyon and in partnership with Connaissance des Arts, the exhibition Yves Saint Laurent: Behind the scenes of haute couture in Lyon forges an original approach to explore the couturier’s creative process, through thirty haute couture ensembles shown alongside numerous documents.

The exhibition traces the relationship between a genial couturier and one of the most renowned textile industries in the world. The exhibition is organised around seven Lyon-based textile firms that Yves Saint Laurent relied on when designing during his career and opens a window onto the secrets of fabric making, including crepe, muslin, taffeta and velvet. An exploration of the unique tactile and technical characteristics of each fabric gives the visitor a fresh look into the heart of the creative process of one of the greatest fashion designers of the 20th century.

The event marks the first global fashion on clubhouse focusing on several aspects of the fashion industry, such as the millennial custumers, sustainability, retail, and blockchain.

The fashion round table takes place every Monday at 2:00 pm est / 8:00 pm cet, from June 21st to August 16th, and is moderated by renowned fashion critic Jessica Michault, fashion analyst Marcellous Jones and fashion journalist Sofia Celeste.

Lazoschmidl, the fashion label founded in 2014 by Swedish-German duo Josef Lazo and Andreas Schmidl, unveils its Spring/Summer 2022 collection titled Overdose, through a short movie as part of the Calendar of Paris Fashion Week and in a pop-up gallery, in the heart of Le Marais with a live show on June 23.

Lazoschmidl will also organize exclusive events during Paris fashion week, from June 24 to 26, in the pop-up gallery.

The world premiere of the performance created and interpreted by Olivier Saillard and Tilda Swinton, as part of the Romaison project, comes for the first time to the spaces of the Mattatoio. The performance Embodying Pasolini, inspired by the secret life of costumes beyond the stage and the evocative power of the body, is based on the original costumes designed by Danilo Donati for the films of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and created and preserved by the Sartoria Farani atelier.

The event is part of the Romaison program, a project dedicated to the relationship between costume and fashion. The project is strongly supported by the Mayor of Roma Capitale, Virginia Raggi, with the organization of Zétema Progetto Cultura and curated by the fashion historian Clara Tosi Pamphili.

Embodying Pasolini is promoted by Roma Capitale, organized by Zétema Progetto Cultura with the collaboration of Palazzo delle Esposizioni-Mattatoio, and produced by StudiOlivierSaillard with Aymar Crosnier's coordination. Artistic collaboration by Gaël Mamine.
