Galleries Association of Korea and the Incheon International Airport present the third edition of We connect, Art & Future, Kiaf and Incheon Airport, featuring more than 60 contemporary artworks, including 32 emerging artists from 20 galleries.

The Photographic Arts Center, Seoul Museum of Art, is the first public photography museum in Korea, scheduled to open in 2024 in Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul. The center is a branch of the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA), and it has been sharing its establishment process through pre-opening programs in a wide range of formats every year leading up to its opening, presenting questions on its role and function as an art museum. This year’s pre-opening program, titled The Portfolio, Seoul, is designed to expand the ground of photography culture in Korea and support the creative activities of artists. The program consists of a Portfolio Review and an Archive Lounge.

Frieze Seoul is a new international art fair by the team behind premium art fairs such as Frieze London, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York and Frieze Los Angeles. The second edition will take place at Coex, in the Gangnam district in the heart of Seoul. Patrick Lee is the Director of Frieze Seoul.

Featuring over 120 of the most influential art galleries from across Asia and beyond, with a primary focus on contemporary art, the fair will be supplemented by a Frieze Masters section dedicated to art from antiquity through to the 20th century. Focus Asia, the section of the fair dedicated to galleries aged 12 years or younger will feature 10 of the most groundbreaking emerging talent from the continent.

The exhibition will serve as an opportunity to see content and artwork, engineering and art, and scenes created by different generations that collide, resonate with, and are in exchange with one another within the boundary of media art in today’s society.

Hosted in collaboration with Kiaf Seoul, Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) and Frieze Seoul features a talks program with an ambitious agenda reflecting on some of the most salient issues in the international art world today. Designed to both create and strengthen relationships between artists, writers, and cultural heavyweights, the talks program promises to cultivate new ideas through spirited debate.
