Entitled ‘Beauvoir, Sartre, Giacometti. Vertiginousness of the absolute’, it explores the powerful links that united these three major figures of the twentieth century. Taking a philosophical, literary and artistic approach, the exhibition explores the quest for the absolute in art, thought and life.
Combining philosophy, literature and sculpture, the exhibition is structured around major works such as L'Objet invisible (1934), La Main (1947) and L'Homme qui chavire (1950), as well as previously unpublished archives and an evocation of Simone de Beauvoir's bedroom, her living and writing space, located just a stone's throw from the Institut Giacometti.
A series of photographs by contemporary artist Agnès Geoffray gives substance to the vertigo.

The exhibition traces the prolific itinerary of these two artists through the figure of Pontus Hulten (1924 - 2006), the first director of the Musée national d'art moderne at the Centre Pompidou, who shares their conception of a disruptive, multidisciplinary and participatory art. Throughout his career, he provided unconditional support to Saint Phalle and Tinguely: acquisitions of works, dedicated retrospectives, cartes blanches and support for out-of-the-ordinary projects such as the gigantic Nana in the Hon - en Katedral exhibition (1966) at Stockholm's Moderna Museet, or the Le Crocrodrome de Zig & Puce exhibition (1977) in the Centre Pompidou's Forum.

The exhibition brings together around thirty masterpiece models from this collection, displayed within the very exhibition spaces, beneath the glass roof where the fashion show had originally taken place. Videos and films accompany the presentation.
Upstairs, next to the couturier’s workshop open to the public, photographs by his friend and artist Bruce Weber are shown for the first time, created for a series originally published in Vogue Italia.

On view at the Grand Palais from September 30 (Abloh’s birthday) through October 10, 2025, the exhibition explores nearly two decades of Abloh’s multidisciplinary output through the lens of his 20,000-object archive, bringing together hundreds of objects, prototypes, sketches, and images from Abloh’s career, as well as his personal collections and library. Curated by Chloe Sultan & Mahfuz Sultan, the exhibition serves as an expanded edition of the 2022 Virgil Abloh: The Codes exhibition, tracing how Abloh’s signature design principles, his “codes”, thread through his work in apparel, footwear, architecture, music, advertising, and more, unifying a practice that spans multiple disciplines. The Codes also highlights Abloh’s collaborations with several artists, designers, and athletes, underscoring the ethos of collectivity and creative dialogue at the heart of his work.

Imagining a world suspended between fading memories and speculative futures, the immersive exhibition invites fashion and culture enthusiasts to explore the paradox of past and future through the lens of creativity, technology, and collaboration. As curator, FabriX will transform the Palais de Tokyo into a multi-sensory canvas, merging fashion, art, and technology to spark dialogue across cultures and redefine what fashion storytelling can be. It is supported by Hong Kong’s Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA).
“Tomorrow Was _____” harnesses AR try-ons, 4D visual creation, and AI storytelling to reimagine how fashion can be experienced. Beyond the runway, the showcase pushes the boundaries of collaboration, innovation, and cultural exchange—reflecting FabriX’s growing influence in the global fashion scene and its commitment to reshaping fashion narratives for a new generation of consumers and audiences.
Join us at Point Perche, Palais de Tokyo Sept 29- Oct 7 Join FabriX as it unveils the future of fashion storytelling, shaping a new era where creativity, technology, and culture converge.
