1989 Studio was established in Los Angeles in 2020, inspired by the rich culture of the West Coast. This region, with its blend of expressive freedom, authenticity, and creativity, set against the backdrop of urban landscapes and vast horizons, defined the brand’s essence. It fostered an open dialogue between fashion, art, and diverse communities.
In 2022, the brand transitioned to an Italian identity following its acquisition by the Folli Follie Group. From this moment, Californian aesthetics merged with Italian entrepreneurship, embracing meticulous craftsmanship and a dedication to excellence. This synthesis shaped 1989 Studio into a project that transcends geographic and cultural boundaries, embodying a DNA rooted in quality, inclusivity, and connection.
Positioned as a meeting point for people and ideas, 1989 Studio explores new dimensions of elegance and innovation. Under the leadership of Francesco Galli, its Ceo, the brand continues to evolve its narrative, focusing on its international expansion.
