In this new edition, the Fly Garden installation is proposed, a garden created especially for the windows of the Flying Tiger Copenhagen concept-store in Garibaldi Station, curated by Claudia Zanfi (Green Island founder).
It is a kind of 'diorama', a small garden for pollinators, in which one can discover a series of handicrafts and design objects made with natural elements, as well as a specific intervention by Atelier del Paesaggio with 3D printed beehives made for solitary bees. This is a journey of eco-design, botany and ever-changing landscapes.

Through the ancient technique of sand casting, each element of the compositions is shaped in aluminum castings on earth molds, creating unique, textured surfaces that echo the raw irregularities of matter and its natural textures. The concave domes composing each lamp vary in size and density, evoking the idea of an ecosystem in constant evolution.
The installation will be a sensory experience that establishes a dialogue between matter, light, and space. The luminous forms of the collection will unfold in a fluid composition, where each piece behaves like a living organism, capable of transforming and interacting with its surroundings. Light will create plays of shadows and reflections that amplify the tactile perception of the material.

Projects by designers, performers, schools, universities, and international institutions will offer an innovative perspective on the theme Making Kin. Inspired by Donna Haraway’s philosophy, this concept explores new forms of kinship beyond speciesist and anthropocentric boundaries. The 2025 edition of We Will Design aims to go beyond traditional notions of family ties, exploring new forms of connection and care between humans, non-humans, and more-than-humans. It is an invitation to build alliances based on conscious choices, affinities, shared interests, and common sensitivities, transforming kinship into an act of creative resistance.
With We Will Design - Making Kin, Base reaffirms itself as a unique hub for experimentation and research, bringing the best in architectural and design innovation to Fuorisalone, thanks to collaborations with national and international universities and academies.

The event dedicated to living design, with an exhibition area of more than 1,000 square meters (developed between the square, the two indoor cloisters, and the garden) and the participation of many exhibitors and designers, offers an in-depth look at the material and technological research behind contemporary design.
The 2025 edition revolves around the theme of "matter", understood as the generative principle of design: from the essence of the material that defines its form, to the experiments that expand its expressive and applicative potential, to its concretisation in the finished product. Matter understood both as a structural element and as a coating, appreciated for the expressive and sensory qualities derived from textures and surface finishes.
A significant contribution to the project debate comes with dOT MATERICA, the new exhibition format set up in the Small Cloister, curated by Sabina Antonini and Alessandra Coppa. This curatorial space aims to explore the role of matter as a foundational element of architecture and design through an exhibition that highlights research, innovation and concrete applications in the realisation of microarchitecture conceived with the help of artificial intelligence. The protagonists of this section are four leading project realities-ATI Project, Lombardini22, Progetto CMR, and Studio Marco Piva.

Sensora invites visitors on a geometric journey, where architecture and geometry transcend their functional roles to become a language of emotions and experiences. This conceptual exploration unfolds in three acts, offering a progressive revelation of how shapes and spaces influence our perceptions and inner reflections.
At the heart of this immersive experience, Élitis’ 2025 textile and wall covering collection will be showcased through a striking scenography, enhancing the tactile and visual dialogue between materials and space. The first act introduces the elementary essence of geometry, with small-scale installations that unveil the beauty of simple forms. As the journey continues, the second act delves into interactive spatial compositions, encouraging visitors to engage with their environment and discover the transformative power of design. The final act culminates in a grand architectural structure, where contemplation becomes a gateway to self-knowledge.
More than an exhibition, Sensora is a sensory odyssey, an invitation to explore, feel, and connect. By merging architecture, design, and materials, it redefines the relationship between human beings and their environment, offering a singular and deeply personal experience.

This bold initiative envisions private companies transforming into “Factories of Nature,” embracing the role of resource producers rather than resource consumers. A new paradigm of value generation that goes beyond the compensation approach transforming sustainability from a compliance obligation into a driver of competitiveness.
The talk will feature key representatives from the public and private sector to share insights aimed at facilitating the shift from traditional green transition strategies to a sustainable economy based on Natural Capital Accounting.
This new approach starts from the analysis of the qualitative and quantitative effects of Ecosystem Services in urban contexts, making them visible and tangible. This commitment, globally replicable through new Nature-positive public-private partnerships, enables actions and advocacy by engaging clients, communities, and partners to promote Nature’s growth as part of socio-economic development.
Beyond the main event dedicated to the Nature-Factory Manifesto, the Wunderkammer, Land's exhibition space offers the public an in-depth exploration of the themes and insights presented through interactive activities and workshops.

Nous (νοῦς), from ancient Greek meaning "creative intuition," encapsulates the essence of mentorship: the transmission of knowledge, guidance in innovation, and the development of a conscious design vision. Nous also means "we" in French, symbolizing a project involving various players united by a passion for creativity and materials.
With Nous, Caruso and Vitale Barberis Canonico offer young designers a concrete opportunity to emerge: guided by Gio Pagani's expertise, four young architects have the chance to develop and create four original design objects linked to the world of sartorial elegance, collaborating with top-tier manufacturing companies specializing in furniture and design accessories.
The project involves four emerging young designers, each with a unique background and a distinctive design vision: Edoardo Patetta, from Milan, an architecture student at the Politecnico di Milano; Matteo Yeuillaz, from Piedmont, a graduate in industrial design from IAAD in Turin; Anna Todorova, from Bulgaria, a graduate in Interior Design from IED Milan; and Elisa Longoni, a Milanese interior designer with degrees in Industrial Product Design and Interior and Spatial Design from the Politecnico di Milano.

With the Connected Scenarios concept, the Valcucine Milan Brera showroom transforms into a hub for reflection and dialogue between designers, architects, and visionaries from cross-disciplinary sectors, alongside brand partners such as e15, Rakumba, and Nice. Together, they will explore the value of connections in the contemporary design world.
Inside and outside the Valcucine space, designed in collaboration with three renowned international architecture studios, Neri&Hu, i29, and ARRCC, the Speakers' Corner of Connected Scenarios will come to life. These will be a series of interviews and discussions offering fresh perspectives on the central themes of Milan Design Week 2025. The conversations will explore how the integration of physical and digital worlds, dialogue between cultures, inclusive design, and sustainability can redefine our way of living and interacting with the built environment.
At the heart of these conversations will be the kitchen scenario, a space for interaction and connection. It serves as both a symbolic and functional backdrop for exploring how design can improve our daily lives, foster social relationships, and promote resource conservation and well-being through innovation.

The venue will host a fresh selection of international designers, artists, and companies, carefully curated by The Design Blender, the duo composed of Elsa Lemarignier and François Leblanc di Cicilia. Labò explores the role of design as a driving force of transformation and research, intertwining method and intuition, rigour and experimentation. The theme of the 2025 edition, “Crafting tomorrow, Rising ideas”, celebrates design’s ability to generate unexpected connections, offer new perspectives, and open up creative exploration.
This year’s vision is brought to life through a renewed collaboration with Paris-based studio Undo-Redo, led by Nicola Aguzzi, who translates the event’s concept into a site-specific installation at Labò. Designed in partnership with Vimar1991, an Italian company acquired by Chanel in 2020 as manufacturing excellence to be preserved and enhanced for the creation of the finest yarns used in the iconic tweeds, the installation, Perpetuum Mobile, reimagines textile machinery as a hypnotic artwork. By transforming the machines that wind yarn into hanks, the piece explores the fine line between industrial production and artistic expression.

The designer, who graduated in fashion at the University of Buenos Aires and has a master's degree in Product Design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, founded her studio in 2016. Her collection "The Glass Line" stands out for its sculptural forms inspired by architecture and nature, which are elegant and timeless and aim to enhance the everyday experience. Agustina Bottoni's research is characterized by a perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and innovation, with particular attention to the durability and aesthetic beauty of objects.
The "Glass Threads" project fits into this philosophy, proposing a reflection on the beauty of imperfect perfection and the harmony between materials and shapes. A vision that ties in perfectly with Malloni's identity, which in the spring-summer 2025 collection is expressed through the concept of Expressive Minimalism.

The title Paff Paff refers to the onomatopoeic sound of soft footsteps in slippers, a delicate and airy noise evoking the sensation of a body resting on a soft surface. The ritual of putting them on marks the transition from the external environment to an intimate space dedicated to personal care.

Poetica explores the delicate balance between the ordinary and the abstract, where objects reveal hidden dimensions through their interaction with their surroundings. Each piece unfolds new layers of meaning, in a storytelling that begins in the mind of the designer, evolves through the hands of the craftsman, and finds its full expression in the eyes of the viewer. A poetic cycle is thus co-created, design, craftmanship and perception, resulting in an ever-evolving narrative that extends beyond the object itself.
Poetica culminates in a celebration of collaboration, not just between materials but between visionaries and makers. WonderGlass, with the collaboration of Calico Wallpaper and Officine Saffi Lab, brings together an installation that explores the space between creation and perception, where the familiar is transformed into the extraordinary, and where the art of making becomes poetry itself.

These unique vehicles will be available throughout Milan Design Week 2025, within the vibrant Porta Venezia Design District. This partnership aligns perfectly with this year’s theme, Connected Worlds, celebrating participatory and generative design. Through Lime and Raffles Milano, design and urban sustainability move forward together, merging innovation, smart mobility, and creativity into a unified experience. The collaboration comes to life through the 72 Hours Project, a unique educational initiative by Raffles Milano, where students take on an intensive three-day design challenge. The objective is to transform Lime’s vehicles into iconic design pieces that integrate into Milan’s urban landscape, balancing functionality with aesthetics to present a fresh vision of sustainable mobility. Milan, a global design capital, becomes the ideal stage for a mobility experience that transcends mere transportation: it becomes a statement of style, enhancing and engaging with the city itself. For this occasion, Raffles Milano students will reinterpret Lime’s bikes and scooters with an approach that harmonizes aesthetics and practicality, turning them into true design elements that converse with the urban environment. The result will be a limited edition of approximately 100 vehicles, celebrating the city’s rhythm, energy, and creative spirit while offering a new way to experience sustainable mobility.

On this occasion, the public will be able to visit the exhibition Realia by Sabrina Ratté: this is the first Italian solo exhibition of the Québécois visual artist who explores the convergence between technology and biology, questioning the new relationship between nature and the digital environment. Through an immersive exhibition path, which fits perfectly into the Meet the Nature program that addresses the theme of nature in a critical and innovative way, beyond the simple discussion on recycling and sustainability, the artist investigates the interaction between materiality, virtuality, and spirituality, proposing speculative scenarios in which the natural world evolves in symbiosis with the residues of technological civilization. A journey made possible thanks also to the support of Haiki+, a leading company in the environmental sector dedicated to recycling, recovery, and treatment of industrial waste by applying the principles of circular economy.

SaloneSatellite is the very first event to have devoted particular attention to young designers, instantly becoming the meeting place par excellence for entrepreneurs/talent scouts and the most promising designers. Its creation, in 1998 thanks to Marva Griffin Wilshire, who is still its Curator, was an act of faith in the creative potential of designers under 35. Many of the prototypes presented at previous editions have gone into production and many of the 14,000 designers, along with 270 International Design Schools and Universities, that took part, have become prominent names on the design scene. An outpost of creativity, ruled from the very beginning by the belief in experimentation, this visionary hub explores the design world of the future, edition after edition, reflecting on how to tackle the challenges of the future from a design point of view. In an age characterised by swinging changes in environmental, economic, and social balances, young designers will be the ones who will provide valuable information that will serve to guide us. Each year, the SaloneSatellite Award rewards three of the most deserving projects and assigns some Special Mentions. All the competing prototypes are assessed by an International Jury and showcased in a single collective exhibition.

MaoSagao’s painting technique is characterized by the use of masking with acrylics on canvas, a meticulous process that requires multiple layers and remarkable precision to achieve the desired effects. The artist transforms the act of painting into an exercise in mental release, where thesearch for visual order reflects the need to navigate a fragmented and overstimulating world.
Facades invites the viewer to decipher a precarious equilibrium, a space of tension between the urge to shape reality and the awareness that every construction is, ultimately, an illusion.

The installation “A-Un” draws from the Japanese concept of “A-Un no Kokyu,” where human connections achieve perfect synchronicity. This theme explores the relationship between software and humans, alongside the future of mobility. Within a vast space crafted from bamboo threads into the form of the Black Butterfly, visitors will experience a light installation that merges their heartbeat with real-time 1/f tremors sampled from nature. This year’s world debut success project “Discover Together” emphasizes “co-creation” with creators. Like “A-Un,” it features interactive works that reinterpret the “Black Butterfly” cockpit through the unique inspirations of Bascule Inc., Northeastern University, and the Lexus Vision Design team.

One of the highlight events is the “Urban Reflection” exhibition, a groundbreaking collaboration that brings together ten groups of renowned Hong Kong-based interior designers and furniture manufacturers to create unique interior design pieces. Some pieces integrate elements of traditional Chinese and oriental characteristics such as paper fans and bamboo. These works exemplify the perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, showcasing cultural fusion and innovation. They are not only unique in form and function but also embody principles of sustainability, using materials such as recycled yarns and glass repurposed from Hong Kong’s iconic trams. These designs convey an awareness of environmental conservation and the value of resources, demonstrating the harmony between design and ecology.

The visual merchandising of the shop, curated by Art Director Corina Jucan, is deeply entangled with the installation and integrates art pieces by PetriPaselli. Time is cyclical: objects fall out of fashion, of sight and of mind, only to come back as newly found treasures (for grandchildren rummaging in an attic and for collectors combing through flea markets alike). But the cycle is not broken. It is bound to start over again.

Since the mid-1970s, under the influence of designer Otl Aicher (1922-1991), Erco has developed a distinct curatorial expertise in photography. The "light box" was always used as a working tool.
Initially analogue, as a backlit table on which the motifs for catalogues, customer magazines or advertisements were selected from hundreds of slides, today as a digital and on-screen metaphor for digital media and production processes. High-profile contemporary photographers and the company as client met as equals. Through this dialogue, an independent, brand-typical visual language emerged.
The "Erco Light Box" exhibition shows selected motifs from four decades of ERCO photography in a room transformed by light. It thus provides a unique view on projects, processes and protagonists in architecture and lighting design - and at the same time lets visitors experience light as an immaterial design medium.
