Rickyy Wong Studio is theHong Kong based designer fashion label founded by Rickyy Wong, and aftergraduating from Tokyo’s Bunka fashion school and Paris’ ENSAD double MAprogram. Over the past two years, the brand has refined their eclecticaesthetic, clashing disparate influences from structured tailoring and bias cutsilks, performance fabrics and new generation fibers to create a look rootedsimultaneously in the past and future.

Thebrand’s signatures include eye-catching original prints, knits and jacquardswhich are developed in-house each season.

The studio’s locally-made productscapture the essence of Hong Kong’s craft heritage - reworking Chinese motifsand design elements and playing on the city’s tailoring and dressmakingheritage - to create contemporary designs, informed by the designer’s trainingand experience in Japan and Europe.

Aftergraduating from the BA Design program at Raffles Hong Kong in 2014, Rickyy’sgraduate collection was selected for exhibit during Hong Kong fashion week, andappeared in the “Visceral Instinct” fashion show during HK Fashion Week 2015,and again at “The Hub'' trade fair HK in 2015. Following this, Rickyy showedhis Spring Summer 16/17 collection during Vancouver Fashion Week and LA FashionWeek, as well as showing the “MAN/WOMAN'' showroom in Shanghai Fashion Week.The brand took a short hiatus as Rickyy studied for his MA Fashion at therenowned Bunka University in Tokyo / ENSAD Paris double degree program, showinghis Masters graduate collection in Paris during the ENSAD show in July 2019.

His Master of Arts graduate collection, inspired by samurai and dandy aesthetics, features fish skin leather as a sustainable alternative to exotic hides. With dual Master’s degrees from Bunka Gakuen University in Tokyo and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Rickyy brings a global perspective to his collections, which cater to an expanding international audience.
