Thecompany started off its bulk of activities with the production of children’sknitwear for third parties, for foreign markets such as France, Germany and theUnited States.In the 70’s, their son Roberto stepped in and starteddeveloping his parents’ ideas, successfully merging the creative soul of thebusiness with a productive and technological one. There was a turning point in1983, when Roberto consolidated the brand and the company and gave it more ofan international standing, also through collaborations with brands such asPrada, Burberry,Cerruti 1881, Paul Smith, Gerard Darel, and Golden Goose; and by startingpartnerships across the main European markets, such as Germany, the Netherlandsand France.Based inCrevalcore (near Bologna), the factory manufactures 150,000 items per year,only using the best luxury yarns such as cashmere, silk, cammello, alpaca,angora, super-kid mohair, merino extra-fine and super-geelong, sourced mainlyin Italy.With aconstantly growing turnover of which 40% manufactured in Italy and 60% abroad,the knitwear company has as a primary objective the consolidation of itspresence internationally, in countries such as Japan, which is the main market,followed by Germany and France, also thanks to a strong network of clients suchas Antonia and Excelsior in Milan; Isetan, American Ragand Tomorrowland in Japan; Bon Marche, L’Eclaireur and Victoire in Paris; Ron Herman and DIANE T in theUSA ; and MURKUDIS in Berlin.
