Trieste hosts an exhibition dedicated to international celebrities. Titled "Exposure - The Power of Being Seen, from Harry Styles to Lady Gaga," and scheduled from March 26, 2026, to January 3, 2027, ITS Arcademy presents an exhibition that emphasizes the styling concept.
Exposure explores styling as an independent creative practice and a collaborative space between celebrities, designers, and stylists. Often invisible yet always decisive, styling builds narratives, identities, and visual memory. Curated by Belgian stylist Tom Eerebout, whose long-standing collaboration with Lady Gaga helped redefine the relationship between fashion, performance, and red-carpet culture, the exhibition takes visitors behind the scenes of image-making. From initial concept to fittings, and from staging to the final public appearance, Exposure chronicles how a look is born and acquires meaning. Historic Maisons, independent designers, and emerging talents (many of whom are represented in the ITS Collection) work alongside stylists and performers to transform clothing into powerful vehicles of meaning. The exhibition highlights iconic moments in music, cinema, and pop culture, emphasizing the image's collective nature. As images become increasingly "designed" rather than simply "captured," Exposure invites a more conscious gaze. Fashion becomes a lens through which to interpret contemporary culture and question the thinning line between representation and truth.
The exhibition catalogue, edited by Tom Eerebout and Emanuele Coccia, gathers a series of dialogues intertwining philosophy, fashion, and curatorial thought, conversations between the philosopher, the exhibition’s curator, and fashion historian Olivier Saillard: three creative minds brought together by their collaboration with ITS Arcademy.
ITS Arcademy-Museum of Art in Fashion is the first museum in Italy dedicated to contemporary fashion. Established in 2023 as the evolution of a project spanning over two decades, the museum offers a unique experience at the intersection of fashion, art, and culture. The museum’s collection features over 15,000 items, including visionary projects, garments, accessories, jewelry, and photography. This vast archive has been built through more than twenty years of the ITS Contest, the platform for talent discovery, founded by Barbara Franchin, now President of the ITS Foundation and Director of ITS Arcademy, that since 2002, has identified and championed the world’s most promising design talents. Notable alumni include Matthieu Blazy (2006), current creative director of Chanel, and Demna (2004), creative director of Gucci.
